Just got this. It's a real Napa Valley wine barrel that I made into a fountain. I also put in an led spot light that rotates through 80 colors. Put some koi in it too. I still have a little work to do on the electric, but I've got it going. It's right out in front of my front entrance/door.

we had something like that at the old house in Connecticut, but the problem was the screen on the pump intake kept getting clogged and the pump would stop circulating the water. Tried putting a screen on top of the barrel to keep debris out but that didnt work, so the wife ended up planting petunias or some shit like that in it. Left it there when we moved to RI

I could see that... this one is not going to be exposed to much debris except for when the oak trees drop their leaves once a year. I'll probably have to play pool boy during that time.

Your probably going to find the whole set up more work than it's worth. Windy days and hot sun will bring your water level down.

But good luck with it (y)

Nice. I have a longer barrel Ruger Blackhawk in 454 Casul. Honestly, I wish I had opted for the 44 mag. My Backhawk shoots 45s like a dream but 340 grain Casuls are a hand hammer.

I chose the 44mag because I have a Rossi 92 in the same caliber. Funny the guy at the gun shop tried to offer me the same revolver in 454 Casul. I could only imagine how that recoil would kick.

Especially in that barrel length. Fucking ouch!

I do my own loads so I can tame them down a bit but what’s the point. I got it to knock down a bear if it got back up on me.

That’s pretty cool. I don’t cast my own bullets. I like the more modern versions. I tend to really get into the ballistics of my hunting rounds. I’ve made a few pistol slugs and black powder balls but my rifle and most of my pistol bullets are factory - mostly Noslers.

I just bought a new boat trailer in June. I overbuilt it like crazy... now I can almost trailer the Titanic. It's worth the piece of mind though. I've never been so geeked up about a fricking trailer lol. I put some sick rims on it too.

There's an old saying...

"Boating fun ends when the trailering begins."

I am doing my part to prove that saying is false!
