From that article, he might be a good player, but it sounds like you’ll always be chasing a contract with him.

Arizona Cardinals five-time Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker has requested a trade, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.

Baker informed the Cardinals in February that he wanted to be traded or receive a new deal to make him the highest-paid safety, the source said.

Baker is owed $13.1 million this season and $14.2 million in 2024 from
a four-year, $59 million extension he signed in 2020 that made him the highest-paid NFL safety at the time.
What elite NFL player isn’t chasing a record breaking contract.

Saw a tweet the other day explaining why AD didn't retire. He's $13 million behind Suh in career earnings for a DT.

Always have liked Baker but yeah I'd move his ass posthaste. There are positions you will endure some BS from and safety simply is not one of them.

I'm just hoping I don't wake up to the headline of "Niners trade conditional 6th round pick for Pro Bowler Baker". The way this offseason has been going, I'd not be surprised.

9ers would absolutely try and do that… no way they could manage the cap around it

The Cards hopefully aren’t foolish enough to trade him within the division

He still has 2 years left on his previously record setting deal.
Yeah, that's the rub. If you think you're good enough to be the highest paid player at your position annually then negotiate a deal that gives you the necessary raise each year.

Good luck with that.

How about just honor the deal that made you the highest paid at the time. This is b.s.

Not sure it you meant Baker or Murray. Murray's contract is much longer than that. Not sure when they could maybe cut him, but it's still a total disaster. Worse than a crime.

According to the Sporting News:

"Murray's contract is for five years and $230.5 million, with $160 million guaranteed. It is relatively evenly loaded.
