Sorry but back in the 80's it was beer for me. Corona and Modelo are made by the same brewer only different recipes they are what I grew up on and are among my favorites still. My soft drink of choice was Mountain Dew and now is Diet Mtn Dew.

The 80s fashion-wise was the last original decade. Everything since has been a regurgitation of past trends.

Musically, the 80s were amazing. The golden era of hip-hop (well, into the 90's), synth-pop, country, and I guess hair bands, which were never my thing.

The movies.
Rad
THRASHIN'
<insert every ninja movie>
Ghostbusters
Police Academy
The Neverending story.
The best decade for slasher films.

80s the best by far.

Unfortunately, the 80's were not all Peaches and Cream. We went from Steve DeBerg to Joe in the 80's.

Or as I refer to it, The Dark Ages.

Would've been a better decade if not for that, given all the other well thought-out reasons given above.

On the other hand (insert sound of can opening to expose worms) I like the 70's much, much better when it comes to music.
