Thanksgiving is over on to Christmas

I slept in and went to Best Buy around 1. Got my video games ($35) and left. Wasn't a lot of people when I was there. Was peaceful and got what I was looking for (Assassin's Creed and Marvel Heroes).

Came back this evening and got the Note tablet. Much more crowded @ night. One bitch was cussing at the employees b/c she had to wait in a line to buy the expensive stuff. She had 2 kids w/ her, probably in high school, looking beyond embarrassed.
 
That's why I do all my shopping online, especially come Cyber Monday when there's some great deals on big ticket items. I just got three gifts from Amazon, one was 80% off, my total for the three gifts came out to less than what the 80% off one would cost normally.

Gotta get a few other things, but this, plus another I got, I've only spent about 80 bucks so far, I'm hoping to be under 150 this year.. I just have one other person to shop for, and then get more things for my girlfriend and I'm good.
 
it was a rough year for wifey and I, each losing a couple family members, and my wife having a near death experience while battling bacterial meningitis, we both have ALOT to be thankful for. And after spending Thanksgiving with her sister and greedy nieces and nephews who just sat there all day "I want this I want that I want an X Box One I want a new Ipad blah blah blah', wifey and I decided we will be volunteering at a shelter Christmas Day. At least those folks are appreciative for whatever you do for them !!

Last year we matched whatever we spent on each other in donations to charity, and will be doing the same again this year

We generally make everything we give at Christmas except for a few items for my boys and the wifey. We are also doing a fund raiser for a family who is going through a really rough time right now. The dad (in his 30s) died about a week ago from cancer. Real rough deal.

Very admirable!

I am just as guilty at times; but yeah... Too many of us think we need more, when in all reality we already have more than 95% of those on the planet.
