Well this is it folks, the last real practice, (tomorrow a walk through in shorts and tee shirts), here in SoCal before the Rams move on to NorCal and then Hawaii. I'm wondering what kind of coverage, if any, we will get this coming week. Is D'Marco, De Silva, Vinny or Myles going north to cover practices with them? Or are we going to be in the dark for the next week?

Anyone else think it strange the Rams will practice all week with the Raiders, then play a game with them on Saturday? Think they will know what each other is doing? Should make for an interesting football game.

Rams starting units on both sides of the ball are pretty much set, and I don't think we'll see any of them in pre season games. Pre season will be about sorting out bench depth.

Anyway, I'll be at Irvine for today's scrimmage, which should be a whole lot easier than watching the scrimmage at Chargers fan unfriendly confines.

I'll post some notes when I get home.

Lookin forward to the report! (y)

A little different. Practicing against other teams has to help some. Players are seeing different moves and reactions then from the same guys on the team. I like it. Could make the game a little more intense.

Looking forward to today's report too. Wish there would be more opportunity for you to give reports thanks for your work and the others as well. Enjoy the day!

It's interesting how we will learn who many of the starters are in preseason, by who IS NOT playing!

Really great stuff from Vinny!! Thanks for posting OldSchool!!

Rapp, Henderson, Fowler etc. showing. Gurley, Goff, Kupp all looking good. Everett and Higbee solid. Roster stacked!! Most interesting, both O and D have chances to be better in specific ways.

Seems to me from a distance the Rams in general are positioned to be better in a lot of ways, not just for individual players but as a whole. Even by recent high standards this team has a chance to be something special.

Real positive stuff about the overall team. Rams are stacked, as Vinny mentioned above. Live in the moment Rams fans!

so kiser isn't replacing barron. he's in the middle and littleton will move out into the barron role. that makes so much more sense.

.
I thought everybody realized that sorry. Littleton is more like Barron so it's natural for him to be in that spot and maintain the helmet microphone he had last year then they put Kiser into the role Middleton had that was the more run defender that he was not built for. Middleton will cover and rush the passer and in passing downs Kiser comes off in obvious passing downs. I also think they've shown us a common lineup we'll see this year and we saw some last year too. AD and Brockers up front with Fowler, Matthews, Littleton and Fox/Long/Lawler/(instert any edge here) so a 2-4 front with likely as well a 3 safety formation with Talib and Peters then our 3 safeties JJ, Weddle and Rapp.
