I think he just doesn't want to over-prepare, which IIRC was his admission following SB 53.
 
I know Cam is nails and will go if his shoulder is stapled on. But I'd really like to see him dominate in this Super Bowl so I am hoping to see him feeling better by next week. I feel like this is his game if he can go.

I like the combo we’ve been wearing during the playoffs the best, but without the fading numbers. This will be the 2nd best IMO. I don’t mind the bone either but this feels right to hoist a Lombardi!!!!

OBJ first two years 25 TD -1300 yards avg.

Higgens first two years 12 TD - 950 yards avg.

OBJ’s stats projected over a full year this year would far exceed Higgens and that is with no training camp.

Why would you bring up OBJ's first two years in the NFL? It's his eighth year in the NFL. How he started his career is totally irrelevant to the player he is today. Let's take a look at actual production this year:

The reason you compare OBJ's first 2 years for comparison sake is Higgens has only played two years.

When we take Baker Mayfield out of the equation OBJ's Trumps Higgens and it isn't close.

Two years in the league and Higgens can't eclipse 6 TD a year. OBJ avergaged 12 a year in that same span. Doubling the output of Higgens.

OBJ was a three time Pro bowler before his career went off the rails for various reasons. Tee higgens hasnt sniffed the pro bowl. His numbers don't in any way compete with the elite WR's in the league.

You can't project OBJ's 2021 stats to make a case when he didnt have any training camp or know the playbook fully. But even when you do he Trumps Higgens full year stats. I mean 6 TD's in 11 games with no training camp and learning on the fly compared to a guy who had 6 TD over 17 games.

The one arguement I will concede is that OBJ's down years were real bad. So he is more of a wildcard in terms of consistency. But the upside of Higgens is not in the same universe as OBJ. 35 TD over a 3 year span compared to Higgens 12 over two. LOL.

I don't really think you can compare via stats. OBJ leaves a shitty situation and then has to learn mid-season on the fly.

I would say OBJ is the better receiver but it really doesn't matter. It's not a vast enough of a difference to really MAKE a difference.

Both teams have very good offenses and it will likely be the defense making the difference. Rams win this one.

BTW your stats are way off. In 2021 Higgens had 1094 yards not 1300 over 17 games. He had 74 receptions not 88. You must be adding playoff stats. If that is the case its over 20 games.

If I had to pick one of those two wideouts on 4th down to haul that catch in my choice is Odell. His hands are rare. I trust this guy more and more each week.

Where Higgens gets the nod on him is upside and future with all that size. But I think with a full camp in this offense Odell would be fucking beastly. He's just now starting to settle into this offense and he's already making plays all over.

So they're both really good wideouts. Odell is probably better in many ways but has more risk too, going forward for who pays him.

I can agree there. Higgins is still young and some WR's do break out year 3. His size speed combo offers lots of upside. Can he become a 1300, 12-13 TD a year guy? Don't know. It would probably be next year if he does.

We are comparing 2021 Tee Higgins and 2021 Odell Beckham. The Rams do not have 2014 or 2015 Odell Beckham.

He doesn't even come close to trumping Higgins's full year stats. You cherry picked the only statistic of his that compares favorably. Higgins blows him away in every other measure. Just stop.

No, my stats aren't way off. I used full regular season and playoff numbers for both. Each guy has played 17 games counting the playoffs. Adding in the playoff numbers actually helped Odell, so don't try to claim I did it to sway things towards Higgins.
