Run D is lights out right now. Mixon isn’t a top receiving back like that. No way he’ll be Super Bowl MVP.
If you see a matchup of Reeder vs Mixon in the flat who would you take.
My point is if Reeder is gonna be dropping into coverage it’s gonna be a long day for this defense. That quick throw into the flat for Mixon would turn into 7-10 yards every time

Great opportunity to see if old long-time saying " NFL games are won in the trenches" holds true to today's NFL?

We match up well.

They have average run d and pass d. No superstars on that side aside from maybe Bates and Hendrickson, but that's stretching the superstar label.

Their CBs are not very good.

But yet somehow they shut down the Chiefs in the second half.

Agreed on being concerned about Higgins (and Boyd). They're big physical guys who we just don't match up well with aside from Ramsey.

Tbh this game should be similar to when we played Tampa in week 3 with a healthy Godwin, but easier for our OL and DL.
The bengals were getting torched trying to play the Chiefs straight up in the first half, in the 2nd half they started rushing 3 and trying to contain Mahomes in the pocket. You would think having a lead the Chiefs would be content to run the ball and keep the clock moving but like McVay sometimes Reid can’t help himself and kept throwing despite Mahomes struggles.
The bengals also shut down the Titans run game but who knows how healthy Henry was.
The Rams throw it better than the Titans and run it better than the Chiefs, they should be able to score on the bengals.
The bengal offense didn’t do a whole lot in a defensive game against the Titans and they started slow against the suspect KC defense. The ram defense has pressured the passer well. They didn’t sack Garapalo but he got knocked around and they eliminated the formidable 9er running attack.
The bengals hang around until they get you to make a mistake then they take advantage but you can’t help think that the Chiefs let that one get away.

The Bengals D is far far better than on paper. Talk about peaking at the right time! It looks like they line up like a backwards bowling pin configuration, real tight too, close to the ball, and take away the run and the short pass. It's brilliant. That's how they do it. When they clamp down and make you punt, they got you right where they want you. McVay better figure this out because the other 3 playoff teams didn't and they got bounced.

Absolutely love to see it. I am a big believer that games are won and lost in the trenches. I pound the table every draft for more big bodies up front, on both sides of the football. Hopefully the Rams can ride this advantage to a Lombardi Trophy.

This is a fair point. Especially their CBs are really playing well. The Chiefs did just put up 31 points on them though. I don't consider the Rams any worse than KC offensively. Not as explosive in the pass game, but a much better running game. I am more concerned about the defense holding up vs. Burrow and those WRs. I suspect we will be able to score points. Famous last words, I am sure haha!

regarding the uniforms....if Cincy goes dark jersey I hope Rams go either solid Bone, or throwback yellow pants white jersey...If Cincy goes white then either Blue over bone or yellow....bottom line...LEAVE the BLUE pants home...

Right here, all day, everyday. I don't think this game will be particularly close. I also think Mahomes and Ryan Tanahill had as much to do with Cincy advancing as anything Cincy did. Raiders also very easily could have beaten them. You don't give up massive mismatches in the trenches and expect to overcome it easily.

Rams feast on bad o lines and they're going to be surprised by our front because it's not KC

Chase and Higgins are no joke, though.
With that said...we can put the hurt on Burrows.
Yeah, they don't match up well with the Rams. It has nothing to do with over or under estimating them. They have a dynamic passing game. Burrow has some escapability, but he's never faced a defensive line like ours with a guy like Jalen Ramsey roaming the backfield. On top of our defense, the offense is capable of putting pressure on their offense to score as well. We've fended off some very good d-lines, so we just match up well with them.

To the people saying that Burrow is the next coming of Brady, that's great. We just beat Brady three times in two years with our defense, and we're better than ever. It's just not a good matchup for the Bengals. Anything can happen, I suppose, but on paper, it does not look good for them.

We need to play him like Brady.

Hit him early and often and hope it works out

...and play him like wilson and that midget in zona. Keep him in the pocket, put your foot on his throat, and keep it there until the game is over...or he is gonna get up, squirt loose, and make a play.

Our secondary does not match up well with them, but they are scrappy and if Scott lowers the boom on someone like he did on Sunday...

Play a clean game, no huge mistakes, and sooner or later the Rams will overtake and put them away.

...or we could just blow them out and end the suspense. I’m perfectly ok with that.

The Chiefs averaged over 4 yds/carry but didn’t stick with it and Mahomes/Reid acted like they didn’t want to throw quick and short and it looked like the Titans had the bengals right where they wanted them, driving for the game winner when Tannehill made a mistake. Hopefully McVay can learn from other’s mistakes.

He played 22 snaps Sunday and he was around the ball on almost every running play that he was in on.

Reeder on those same plays - no where to be found on the majority of them
Reeder sometimes looked like he was lost in the lights. Kinda like an outfielder than backs up at the crack of the bat then realizes the ball is going to drop in front of him. The game is just too fast for him at this point.

Best graph ever. Rams' pass rush wins us the Super Bowl. And our o-line gets it done too.
