If you watch Watt’s highlights, he goes practically untouched to the QB when he gets a sack. Just chipping him won’t work. He’s like AD with the speed that he gets to the QB. TE chips don’t really slow him down. The Rams Oline needs to be assignment sound and get some real help from receivers and TE’s to cancel out Watts impact. Other than Watt there isn’t anything scary about the Steelers

This is a very winnable game and it will be a huge disappointment if they don’t win this coming game.

Am I the only one that still feels like we owe the Steelers a good ass kicking for that 31-19 SB loss?
Indeed the Rams owe them for that one. I remember it well. That game was closer than the score shows.

Great old school Rams! Ace CBs Rod Perry and Pat Thomas. Ferragamo was QB, and Wendell Tyler was RB. Jack Youngblood played with a broken leg. Merlin Olsen, Larry Brooks, Fred Dryer on the D'Line. Topping off the secondary were safeties
Elmendorf and Cromwell. Awesome O'Line with Hercules Harrah, Jackie Slater, and Doug France.

RAMS NEED TO TAKE THIS ONE!!!

It would be great if they won 30-19 too!

Hate to rain on your parade but Merlin retired after the 1976 season. And he was still a great player in 1976.

Looking at the 3 wins for the Steelers look no further than the turnovers. All 3 games they were outgained in yardage. But they were a plus 7 in turnover ratio in those 3 games. 10 turnovers to 3. Baltimore gave it up 4 times. Cleveland and Las Vegas each gave it up 3 times. Cleveland rushed for 198 yards to the Steelers 55. The simple strategy would seem to be just take care of the ball.

CRAP!! Looks like Evans is the only healthy RB on the 53???!!! I assume we will call up Freeman?

Is it me or do we seem to play a disproportioned amount of games vs teams coming off a bye....

Probably just me but it sure as heck seems like it.

No... I was literally throwing a conniption fit about it when the schedule was released here on the site.

If I remember correctly... it's like 4 or 5 times this season. It's absolute bullshit and is the most times ever for any team.

Like I said... 100% Bull Fucking Shit

It’s a shame. And I doubt at the NFL level of expected scrutiny that it was just an oversight or some algorithmic anomaly that no one noticed or concerned themselves with.

I'll wait till McVay rules out K Williams on game day. Ian Rapoport did say Williams left without a boot-- so it can't be that serious.

Seen a post on a Steeler Fan Forum someone posted that the Steelers are 0-11-1 playing in LA.

And before yesterday's game the Jets had never beaten the Eagles, ever.

The Rams still have to go out there and beat down these fucks. We know the refs are gonna be slurping up these stealer fucks all game. So the Rams have to be that much better than these fucking stealer fucks.

You are correct fellow Rams fan...it was Mike Fanning at DT with Larry Brooks. Thanks.

So, just to clarify, you are NOT a fan of the Steelers. Right?

I still see the Nolan Crowell dropped INT in my nightmares

Rams safety Nolan Cromwell, a clutch Pro Bowler for several years, was waiting too, and unlike Swann, had a serious jump on the pass and was already sprinting toward the goal line.

But Cromwell perhaps was too preoccupied with visions of the end zone before actually catching the ball. Paul Zimmerman quoted Mike Webster in Sports Illustrated, "The only thing that could have stopped him was a .357 Magnum."

Cromwell dropped the ball. And the momentarily horrifying 9-point deficit that had never before been overcome in a Super Bowl was not to be.

After checking stats the Steelers are tied for the least offensive touchdowns with the Giants at 6. 5 passing zero rushing TD's. Not sure how they call it 6. I know they have 7 total TD's with two defensive scores against the Browns.

They are second to last in rushing yards per carry at 3.4. Second to last in passing yards but they do have one less game with their bye this pass weekend. So its likely they move up a bit there. But they are 26th in passer rating at 78.6.

Bottom line, minus the two defensive scores their offense averages around 13 points per game. Like I said, its a game we should win but the NFL is week to week. Turnovers change everything. They have a premier pass rusher in Watt. I think taking care of of the ball should be a primary focus this week. Do that and we should win.

Well as someone who is a fan of the team in West PA they stink this year. Said it in another thread...Najee is one of the biggest disappoints ever. Kenny Pickett ain't it. Line is meh and WRs are OK.

Yes D is their strength but aint what it used to be.

What scares me about this game is Williams and Rivers are both gonna be out, per McVay. Whether it’s Evans or whether we get someone off the street, McVay is going to use this to rationalize throwing on every down. Watt is a terror and will be in Stafford’s face all night unless the game script has some sense of balance.
