Disc issues can be tricky but I think he’ll be fine. He might need to a hop a flight to Germany to get some stem cell treatment like LeBron and Kobe did

That’s not encouraging my disk issue lasted several years. The only thing that worked was sitting on my ass for two consecutive winters. Even now, if I do too much I’m back to wearing the elastic back support until the pain subsides, which can usually take a few days. But, they’ve got a good backup, finally. So hopefully between the two of them it’s all systems go.

All the twisting motions required from the QB can't be good for his back either. A bad back can render you almost useless till it subsides.

Schedule is a little favorable early, Hou, Tenn, Indy. Heck it wouldnt be terrible if Garoppolo could get them to 5-3 thru the first 8 and then bring in a completely healthy Stafford to close out the season and post season

If Matt goes down our best option for starter is already on the roster. But he also has a history of missing games with injury. So a vet replacement backup would be a good idea. Bennett should not be an option.

As far as what ?? There SO many extremest on this issue. I’d say no matter what it’ll play it’s self out in ALL ACCOUNTS!!

This is what the preseason is for Stetson needs all these reps in case of the above.

—Right now you think The Rams aren’t going to trust in Stetson if all else fails & he’s the next option.

Got to have LMFAO on this. Understand The HATER CLUBS !!
It’s strong, but if you’re looking at the Big Picture & how The Rams are run under Sean Mcvay ? It’s not
like we haven’t seen it before with IMO less quality QB’s

McVay's offenses had a problem with depth for a number of years - at OL, at QB, at RB, probably a little less at pass catcher. Seems like there's been a real concerted effort to build it out - especially given the age of our QB - the last 2-3 years.

Jimmy is a few years removed from what he was with the 49ers but I think he can probably get a good team to the postseason still - if he had to start most of the year - prob not more than that though. And that's a big deal for a backup QB (see below). And McVay has raved about him behind closed doors as reported by Jourdan so I think it's very unlikely he's going anywhere this season but never say never in the NFL or with the Rams.

I forget what GM said this but basically the rub in the NFL is that if you lose your starting QB for the season, you're pretty much screwed. That's it, you're cooked and your season is over. A backup QB isn't there to play a full season for you and get you to your goals, they're there to make you go 2-2 in the 4 game stretch that your QB is out with injury during the season. The thing was, the Rams for a few years didn't even have a guy who could do that at backup QB and that's why they went to get Jimmy.

Yeah - never thought The Rams were going to win the Superbowl with a backup QB the whole season.

I made my Big Time wagers on The Rams Baltimore game 1 & Rams to win The Superbowl in August.

That was with Trent Green at QB. Warner lost to the 9ers in 1998 as starting QB. Knew him from Euro-League. Kept the bets live & hoped they beat Baltimore @home .

It’s funny what happened yesterday. There is away I could see it.Let’s see where The Rams are at during Thanksgiving!! 99.5 % chance it can’t happen. That .5% would shock The NFL World.

Yeah, this sucks. I deal with disc herniation and it’s not fun at all. You wake up in pain every day and managing it is essentially just no activity. I can go a couple hours at a time being active before the pain begins to be too much and I have to sit. Obviously I don’t have medical doctors around the clock like he does, but it’s still is tough to deal with. But I’m happy we have some type of clarification and Stafford is one tough son of a bitch. I don’t think there will be any issues playing through it.

Den, don’t miss the delicious best part of this Italian spazzing. The Niners passed over local boy Tommy Brady, and picked this bust Carmazzi who never played a down in a regular season game.
Wow did not realize that, so now I’m a big fan of Carmazzi.
