They usually come to a similar number after a few adjustments.
Yeah ... I was just hoping Spotrac would come closer to OTC's # instead of the other way because that would have meant more 2025 cap space for the Rams to work with.

According to this screenshot, Stafford will be under contract with the Rams at the age of 46 in 2034!

With a base salary of zero AND a cap hit of zero!

YEAH BABY!!!

This deal solidified it for me - Stafford #1. I wavered that week leading up to the decision for him to return. Now seeing the team friendly nature of this deal, I’m back on the Stafford train.
Yeah, it was definitely a stressful negotiation for us fans, but it worked out great in the end. Fan favorite stays a Ram on a team friendly deal and gets a slight raise. Kinda amazing he is staying with us for less than $50M.

Credit to McVay for creating such a great culture that Stafford was willing to forego several million bucks to stay.

That screenshot still says only 40.9 Million hitting the cap. There was even a write-up that it was only 40.9 million.

Was that premature?

Uh... the point of my post was to make a joke about the void years and how "technically" MS is under contract through 2034.

So no, I don't know the specifics of the cap hit from that screenshot. Sounds like the cap hit has been adjusted on cap sites a few times already today, as this thread documents.

For sentimental reason and nostalgia its Roman Gabriel for me. But yeah, Stafford's becoming a favorite now.
Never got to experience the Gabriel days. Always good to chat with the Rams fans who've been hanging around through it all.

Actually I was asking the board their thoughts ... not just yours

My bad

That's a screen-shot from OTC from Wednesday morning. OTC was the first cap site to up-date for Stafford.

Later in the day, Spotrac up-dated with a higher 2025 cap hit off $47.5M.

Still later, OTC revised it's up-dated number to match Spotrac's $47.5M.
