Seriously, what the fuck is this team doing even entertaining bringing back Wolford!? This may be the first time I agree with oldnotdead, McVay's got a thing for certain players and some are real head-scratchers. Move the fuck on and bring in a capable backup or don't and just stick with Rypien.

I don’t think so, his kid is in school with Stafford coming back, Wolford just figured he would stay in Florida & keep fishing.

Honestly glad Wolford is not coming in and I hope Perkins doesn't either. Quit trying to sign some bums. Both never really impressed me when they were on the field.

Go get McCoy, or Wentz?, he'll I'll even take Chad Kelly from the CFL at this point.

I don't mind rocking with Rypien though, maybe he can summon dome skill from his Uncle Mark Ryoien. The ol' Skins QB who won them a super bowl

The last thing I want to see is Wolford playing, not to play devil's advocate but if Stafford couldn't go you need a backup and Wolford knows the plays, language and system. If Rypien went down Wolford could limp his way through the game. I doubt there was an alternative option that could operate the offense on short notice and it would have likely been a very short term add to the 53. Again this is the last scenario I want to see, he is anemic

So last year Stafford gets hurt and is replaced by Wolford. Wolford gets hurt and is then replaced by Baker Mayfield. In the offseason they both leave, only for Wolford to end up as Mayfield’s backup. Meanwhile our new backup sustains an “injury” along with Stafford who gets hurt again too. The team ultimately reaches out to Wolford to again replace Stafford. And he declines. Good God lol
