Per Rich Eisen.

Giants matched Stafford $$$ demands AND the Rams trade demands. Stafford didn't want to leave LA.

Starts at 11 minute mark.

I loved his comment about ‘Not commenting on the Raiders because he likes to go to Starbucks.’

So, have we ever gotten confirmation on the trade demand from the Rams? Was it a first or just equivalent value to a first?

I thought this years second and next years first was reasonable.

Well our trade demands started at a 1st, sooo....? Man if they offered #3, we should have taken it. And I love Stafford.
per all the reporting today, those were not our trade demands. The Rams would’ve still made the deal if the NYG didn’t offer the 3rd pick. The third pick is what fans on Twitter wanted, but that was never a realistic expectation from the Rams front office. Albert Breer said the Giants were willing to part with the number 34 pick and the Rams would’ve been ok with that

That the Rams would have been ok with only the 34th pick? I haven’t seen that. What link are you referencing?

Yeah not sure how accurate some of those reports are...

McVay said Stafford was really never close to leaving (watch the videos).

We have to remember a lot of the "insiders" were saying Stafford was likely gone.

Not sure they have earned our trust on knowing what really happened on this one.

That's assuming they couldn't come to an agreement with Stafford. It's not like they would have jumped at that, but it probably was the best they were going to get for a 37 yr old QB that might be a 2 year rental at best. Especially after teams saw how the Jets were burned with Rodger's and Denver with Wilson.

Not just 34 next years 1st too. The Rich Eisen video i posted is at the time stamp

When McVay said he was talking to Stafford the entire time and didn't think stafford was ever leaving - and then that's exactly what happened (stafford staying)?

Instead I'm supposed to believe what albert breer, Rich Eisen and whoever else?

When they basically all predicted wrongly in the end?

Yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense.

I believe the Giants prob offered a lot - but how close any of it actually came to fruition is where the insiders information seems to stop.

The only truth is we'll never know the truth of what was offered and what was accepted. And we've all heard McVay say thing about players or trades that later turned out to be inaccurate.

That I’ve seen. My contention was with the notion that the Rams were willing to accept the 34th pick as the compensation. I don’t buy that for a second and haven’t seen any credible people saying it.
Multiple people have said the Rams were asking the Giants and Raiders for this year's 2md and next year's 1st. Then that video of Eisen he says the Giants met both Staffords money request and the Rams price.
