So, it's not just...not releasing.

Oh, no... the terrorist hackers have insisted that Sony not EVER release it in ANY form AND that Sony fight to keep any pirated versions out of public hands. Apparently, the hackers got some sensitive Sony information.

I had to tweet this...

It's just BS. They only reason they're not a shit stain already is because China is protecting them. They're a buffer and the crazier the buffer, the better. China doesn't give two rat farts about North Korea. As long as they have one less vector into China pressuring them to change, they're fine. And NO ONE from North Korea is pressuring them on Human Rights violations or opening up their markets...

But seriously... put it on physical media and get it in theaters. If they pose a physical threat...that's what the BAJILLION dollar National Security apparatus is FREAKING FOR!!!

Either that or be open about what the hackers took, devaluing their hold over you.. and release it on Blu-ray and DVD, like...immediately... dang thing would be a MUST HAVE item!

films today aren't meant for Americans but are completely geared to a CHINESE audience
this is just a move to appeal to the main consumer of America's only real export - culture

This is what I would suggest -- fuck all sony products - and enjoy more of the cool shows we have now on cable that actually serve the American appetite

and the other thing that sucks about this is instead of burying Seth Rogan forever with a huge flop, they've turned that fucker into an international celebrity with an opinion on global politics hahahaha

did you see how President Obama during his presser messed up James Franco's name? He called him James Flacco - he must of had the Ravens on his mind being in DC

Truly. Movie looked utterly forgettable... I wouldn't have given passed urine to see it.

Now... feels like an act of civil disobedience and patriotic duty combined to see that piece of crap...

Why James Franco has a career at all is beyond me.

Now that he and Seth Rogen have had their delusions of grandeur made real (thanks Un) they'll be even more insufferable than before (if that's possible).

Let's not forget that this is another way for China to tweak Japan who owns Sony. There's a long animosity between China and the Japanese. Rogan and Franco now have to travel with bodyguards because of this nonsense. Btw I really enjoyed 'Pineapple Express.' :)

On another note, it is mindboggling that some people living in the 21st century have yet to figure out that what they write in emails and post on the internet can be used against them at some future date.

I'll bet anything that in a month or two "due to popular demand", the movie will be released to home video, because this is publicity Sony couldn't even begin to dream of, and they'll make a fortune off this thing.

This pisses me off big time too @Mackeyser

I did see that there are some theaters in Texas that are going to be playing Team America in it's place though. Which makes me smile.

Some clips from the Masterpiece known as Team America that I would like to dedicate to @kim jong un .....

Apparently Paramount has now pulled Team America from the scheduled showings for fear of reprisal.

I actually wanted to see the movie and thought it looked funny.

I also like Rogan and Franco lol

Fkn lame ass North Korea. Wonder how many propaganda filled movies they have made about evil America and offing the president.

They pulled it because they didn't trust the American public. My father was discussing it the other day before they pulled it. He said they would because theaters are pulling it because they're afraid to lose business. Sony doesn't want to take even more losses so they're burying it. They went this route because they see Americans panic over stupid things and buy into fear. If they felt they would still make a profit (overall) they would have released it.

LOL... I like musicals. And I like the Southpark guys (I REALLY want to see Book of Mormon, but tix were $130/ea for balcony last Christmas when it came to Tampa... which is BS...) And they write good music. I LOVED I'm So Ronery.... So great. I break out singing I'm So Ronery for no reason...

Just thinking of that Kim Jong Il puppet shouting at Arec Bardwin..., terrorists who can't forrow the pran... then.. he sings...

I don't care how politically incorrect it is... that's one of my favorite songs...LOL

F it.

Lemme sign a waiver. Put it on the screen.

The only fat, crusty-eyed dood in pajamas that's gonna determine my movie watching habits is ME.

I am not a movie goer, just don't like going to movie theaters. But this decisions bothers me because NK got exactly what they wanted. If the damn execs at Sony learned to "think before they post" then maybe they wouldn't be so afraid to release the movie

BTW Mack, just added you on twitter
