Went back and checked for grins 'n giggles...

12/23/12, Dolphins @ Bills

Bush had 107 total yds and three TDs good for 28.7 points. W...T...F...

Still makes me angry, LOL...

What does it take to keep him next season?
I think the market is between 3.5-4.... is he worth that to the Rams for a couple of seasons with Henderson constantly injured and Akers coming off a major injury?

Michel has just been awesome. Great interview this week on the Rams’ site. Can’t help but love what this guy has done for the Rams.

And Michel and hopefully Akers will be key for the Rama’s playoff success.

Bumping this after I went back and watched the Bucs game again..
Sony was the starting RB in that game.
Henderson was the leading rusher for the Rams in the 4 losses.

Could be a coincidence, but... I'm thinking mindset and reliability play a role here.

Bodes well for the rest of the season, imo, if McVay doesn't get too cute. Mixing in Cam could be great, too.

I seem to remember that Sony was less than thrilled about being being traded to the Rams initially. Reason - he was hoping to sign a nice fat contract with the Pats. I'll admit to knowing zilch about Michel - in large part due to his being a Patsy player. I have long been a "detractor" of Billy Bellyache since the Super Bowl loss back in the days of Billy B's clandestine filming of Rams' practices prior to the Super Bowl back in 2001 ( I think that was the year). Oh yes Billy B. was whacked with a fine ... R.Kraft (aka Billy B.) managed to iron out that wrinkle likely with an influx of cash.

I could be wrong regarding the year as I confess to celebrating the Rams win today with a robust measure of Holiday spirits. Whatever! .. I am really stoked we landed Michel. I hope he feels appreciated at this point and realizes that his chances of winning a Championship are not diminished having been traded to the Rams. I am now a dyed in the wool member of his Ram Fan Club !! Maybe Sony will be amenable to sticking around for a whild
The ironic thing about Bellichick is he won coach of the year the same year they were fined.

The entire Ram identity has changed with Michel’s running. Between his style and the guys blocking for him, we don’t look so “finesse” anymore. That’s been bad news for our opponents lately.

Yep that's the first time I've heard the F word in a while. :laugh1:

Michel is a total grinder. He deserves to be the #1RB the dude has earned it. He brings toughness, never going down on the first hit. He puts his head down and just keeps churning those legs. His yards after contact must be huge. Short yardage? Michel running power right up the gut. That's just demoralizing to a defense.

Hopefully, Akers can get back close to his form. Next year this offense with Woods and Akers back, a proven OL in front of Stafford will be very dangerous. Michel is the kind of RB that can keep the offense on schedule forcing the front 7 to honor the run. The Rams will be solid on their DL and OL with the most dangerous DL in the NFL.

IMO the playoffs start this Sunday. Holding on to the #2 seed will be huge when you have to play all the conference playoff games. They won't have to deal with the Niners or the Cards in the first weekend.

"Identity".. .hmmmm... I've heard someone mention that before...
