I am not so sure about that Bruss grade. I didn't watch the game tape but there have been some games where I've noticed Rams lineman getting absolutely abused all night long even WITH help. Noteboom. Bobby Evans. Demby. Arcuri. Watching live, there was definitely pressure coming from Bruss' spot, but there were also plenty of snaps where Stafford was pretty well protected too, from all angles. A pass blocking grade of literally 0? Dunno about that...

Bruss was actually better this week than last.
He lunges pass blocking which make his very easy to beat.
He had some solid pass blocks as well, which was an improvement over last week.

Well when you got a Center like Limmer that did 39 reps bench press you can bet he is a strong dude, and will bulldoze for you.

Limmer is certainly doing better than Bruss. But PFF has him at 44.3 in pass blocking which is far below average. He's around 65 in run blocking which is average.

Bruss is a 7.2 this year in pass protection...which is as you say shitting the bed.

The OL should have substantial improvement when the two actual starters get back.

Yeah, I would like to know how they determine what a missed tackle is. They say the team missed 11 tackles against GB. It looked more like 30 to me.

Their metrics are best judged as an approximation of what's going on. In the ballpark. For example, regarding missed tackles, they have us rated as the 6th worst tackling team in the league. The eyeball test confirms that we are one of the worst tackling teams in the league.

Well Limmer did a heck of a lot better against GB - he got a 68 PFF rating and I bet his run blocking rating was fairly high.

As to pass blocking, I think that will come in time once he has gotten more experience in games.

I think he is the center of the future.
