But the argument could be made that the user isn't just looking for a sensation and to get off but for the "with another human" experience. The robot doesn't really provide that, but with an entire body, face, voice, etc it's closer and it's easy to see that just getting off isn't enough. They want to simulate the human to human intimacy. If that's what they want, it implies that the partner isn't enough or good enough. I could definitely see someone getting upset about that.

I have known people that didn't want their partners to self-service at all. It's all about what upsets your partner and what you're willing to put up with from your partner.

I think you guys are underselling the AI feature of the sex robot. The physical appearance of the robot is so much more refined and human like as compared to even a decade ago, and the human race is about improving/making things better. Watch the military robots move with a quadraped grace over a mountainous terrain, which sorta freaks me out, because they are not very robotic in movement and more lifelike.

The current robots have facial features that wink and look sideways at you in a sly way. I am not saying there is intelligence there yet, but scientists will improve the reactions and humanlike behavior of these silicone machines. They will have heaters within them that will make them feel warm like a human (this is already a feature for extra money)

Scientists and technology billionaires like Elon Musk worry about the tipping point toward self awareness for machines. If they become self learning and self repairing and do everything for us, and have the thought that we are expendable?

Before that, however, these sex robots will become more responsive and aware and will look like what attracts us according to our fantasies. For me to wonder whether I'm cheating or not with a machine, what if I doing something sexual with a robot and my wife walks in the room? No reason to feel guilty if it's not cheating, right? But I know I'd feel guilty about it...JMHO.

I don't remember them all but one of the more clever ones was always thinking of some small job for the husband to do so the woman gets a head start to bed, then they either get to sleep before he's in bed or they fake that they are asleep.
Another was acting as if they were busy and sneaking to bed before he realizes.

My wife just tells me no I'm too tired so I give up. I must not be as persistent as these other guys
