Shula's doing what he can with the players he's got. When our defense counts for 30% of the cap space, this is what you get. We've actually been lucky they've been this good. We hit on quite a few draft picks on D, without them we'd be even worse.

Agree - I don't blame anything on the defense. They are all young, growing pains. Give it another year or two and will be a top 5 units. ZERO doubt.

We don’t have a space eater. Would be nice to get a 2 down 0 or 1 technique to eat up 2 blockers to give us some breathing room to make tackles.

Not giving up on the playoffs, even if this is a loss. Never going to say never with the Rams, but tough spot in a game we needed, especially with Cards losing today. I had this one as a loss going in, and Bills are going to be tough. The rest of our games are winnable, though, but we have just been having to go uphill all season between injuries and the early losses. We would have no playoff chances in any other division right now, and winning the West is our only shot. 10-7 might actually win it.

Bigger question is what can we do to move from borderline playoff team to actual contender again.
