Rozeboom is a given obviously, and honestly Reeder is a decent base defense 2LB when he’s limited in snaps and his role is limited to his strengths.

He scored a 63.7 off grade for the game which is almost about what he is in total (60pff) for a career.

Either he goes unblocked or the blocker can’t get to him fully and he’s decently effective when he doesn’t miss tackles.

This is why he’s the whipping boy, in the E Jones role his lack of attributes are magnified more often as they were only limited beforehand as he was in the Rozeboom role.
I agree with your assessment of his strengths and weaknesses. I would add though that he's been the whipping boy before E. Jones was traded.

And I'm surprised to see that PFF grades him in the 60s. IIRC, anything around 65 is what PFF considers average. The way we talk about him here, he should have a 45 PFF grade.

I’d like to know exactly what pFF bases their grades on. Stafford was excellent, Kyren was excellent too.
Shit I’d love to know as well. Watch a tape of them actually breaking down a player and what the base plus and minuses on. Foot placement? Arm angle? No look? Idk man. Maybe the grader is a whiner fan? lol No way Stafford scored that low, maybe they fault him for sacks taken?

Wish I’d stop being a cheap skate and buy that nfl pass to show screen shots etc. Rozeboom is far worse than Reeder and it’s not comparable.

I’m not saying I know everything football related but the two positions I do are the ones I played though out my whole life into college which were RB and LB.

How long before AD started? 8 games his rookie year? I just pray Speights had the ability to take in information and process it to the field sometime soon. LB and RB are some of the faster positions to grasp in the Pros to so hopefully that works in our favor.

Like frfr why did we waste a 3rd rounder on him if he gone sit we could have got a cb or maybe a Lt
Remember how KWill was drafted and when he started contributing. Ditto Corum and (yes) Schrader. Patience grasshopper.

Has Dotson regressed back to his pre-Rams days? He doesn’t seem to be the player this year (to date) that he was last year. Maybe it’s the circumstances of OL injuries.
But looking at his contract, he’s got a much better “out” after this year than JJ.

He has a pretty bad ankle and a lot of turmoil around him. He will be ok.

That’s true - I forgot about his injury. Hopefully as he gets healthy, he gets back to his dominant play.

Still, if we decide one of the iOL have to go next year, his contract is the easier of the two between him and JJ.

Still do not get not giving Corum some play out there. RB's do not need a long time to get into the NFL groove, most rookie LB's drafted in the first 3 rounds have played, unless they are injured. Rivers was basically a zero when he was in there yesterday.

And yes, get Rosenbum off the field at all costs.
As much as I’m a fan of Corum and want to see him you stay with the hot hand. Williams is starting to peak and get into his own. History shows he’ll get banged up eventually and when that happens it’s Corum time!

The sharpness of the decision making by them so far is excellent. Gotta give that new RB coach serious cred. :thumbsup1:

Since they have added Ron Gould as RB Coach the improvement has been unreal. Love the way he goes about his business and Blake Corum has spoken glowingly about him. Gould has 33 years of coaching experience including being Head Coach at UC Davis from 2013-2016.

Here's what happened with Bruss

I was wondering what happened with Bruss. At first I thought oh no another injury on the O line, but then he was back out there after a couple of plays and I didn’t hear anything about it so I just figured it was an equipment issue or something. Seeing that though…I like to see the grit, coming back out and still playing strong! Thanks for posting!
