OMG, ALL MY LOVE FOR THAT MAN!

And he was an absolute pillar of the St. Louis community to boot, as well as being a fantastic Rambassador with no off-the-field bullshit to note (unless you want to knock him for wanting a new contract, in which case, you'd have to knock AD and Stafford as well).

HE NEEDS TO BE IN THE FUCKING HALL OVER MARSHAWN LYNCH! HE WAS BEASTMODE BEFORE BEASTMODE CAME INTO THE LEAGUE!!!!

Don't worry about it; it's difficult to remember those seasons.
The Rams should’ve traded him for 2 first rd picks to Dallas imo. My Tag use to be Trade SJ39.

Had a post here Trade Todd Gurley that got taken down.Look what happened to Cooper Kupp this year.

Just saying 2006!The Rams needed to resign SJ39’& draft Jay Cutler.Torry Holt(Corey Chauvos) F’d any thought of that up.

SJ39 REFUSING to go down vs. the 49ers. Took half their team to stop him. What a freaking beast.

^^This is the definitive SJ39 play. What the video doesn’t show is as soon as he pops up, he is so fired up he head butts a coach on the sideline…sans helmet.

I fucking loved that guy. Momento is right, he was “beast mode” before lynch.

Edit:
I have to add that it is kind of comical that after a few of these clips, you can tell the DBs are making “business decisions” when they pick their angle on him. In the first clip, the Safety is in front of him and doesn’t want anything to do with SJ39.
Awesome player. Awesome guy.

It was tough being a Ram fan in those days... even Jackson was mostly 3 yards and a cloud of dust. But he was ridiculously talented and could have been the best RB of all time on McVay's team. Big, tough, agile, and physical, fast, never fumbled, and he could catch the ball too. McVay would have ridden him to AT LEAST one super bowl. It's kind of sad that he played on a losing team for so long. Hall of Fame? I don't know if the numbers or the accolades are there.

If the team owner isn't interested in winning, those 2 picks wouldn't have changed much. Sigh, thanks anyways Steven, watching you was the only reason to watch the Rams in those years. And ya... it's hard to tell, due to his size, but he's not just a baaad man but a FAST man. If there was an "S-Jax" in this year's upcoming draft, I'd trade up without any hesitation.
Trading Kupp mid-season last year? maybe... but when we won that game, keeping us in the hunt for a playoff game, everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief & it re-energized the team. I think the threat of losing Kupp made everyone play that much harder & it carried into the playoffs. 2025 will give the team a fresh start with some new faces.

Steven Jackson was the perfect blend of speed and power. I loved watching his style of running and at that time the Rams OL was built for the running game. Jackson truly looked like a man playing with boys with his style of running the ball.
