Fuck off it's the off season and we aren't even in July! :zany1:

But hypothetically speaking here would you?

After watching The Ram Bros podcast they put up some good points.

1. The X WR dominate like how Megatron was is obviously a give me of how Stafford can be productive with one.

2. Kupp and Puka working underneath and whatever other side of the field basically single teamed?

3. Light boxes for Williams and Corum to murder???

Our TE's would feast as well.

We have a premium O-Line now to make this happen.

Normally I'm anti trading our 1st etc. but in this scenario If our defense is ranked 15th at the worst (it'll take a bit for them to mesh together being young and new) and adding Davante I see us at a minimum in the NFCCG.

Money as we all know can be rearranged to make room for Adams, compensation I've seen is a 1st and from a 3rd to a 5th? Maybe if we threw in Robinson?

I want another fucking Ring or two baby!

Can the Rams manage the salary cap with Kupp and him? The possibilities are endless regarding the numbers Kupp, Puka and Adams could possibly put up. This is the type a move I'd love if Donald had not retired. JMO

We can get another ring or two without giving up valuable draft picks (don’t forget we’ve already lost next year’s second) for an extremely expensive player who’s the wrong side of thirty.

No thanks.

Right? I mean the “ all in “ bullshit we heard forever, think this could also come out fruitful for us.
Quick (Honest & Serious) Question: Did either of the two podcasters mention the salary cap implications?
Yes. Ofc you need to address that they do.

He's 31/32 years old, will make 17 mill in base salary + a per game bonus of 500k. In 2025/2026 his base salary sky rockets to 35+ mill
Looks like a NFW to me.....
I guess we could trade and cut him, after 2024, which is what Vegas will do. But not sure how that contract works.

Adams is a good player, but he’s not a young man anymore. Same age as Kupp, pretty much.

Not with his contract. If they can rework it than maybe. Though, I'd limit it to a 2nd round pick which we don't have next year so I guess ultimately, based on the aforementioned requirements, no I would not.

If Puka or Kupp get hurt and we look like a super bowl team early season and there's a chance to get him before trade deadline than I'd be more inclined to throw caution to the wind and go for it. But right now the risk/reward doesn't do it for me.

Yeah, it's a 1 year deal for anyone who would trade for him. His 2024 salary is guaranteed and if he plays 15-17 games, its another 8 mill on top of the 17 mill salary
I know WR salaries are out of control but 24/25 mill for 1 year of Davante Adams? Maybe a 5th round pick

It’s too much $$ to spend on a #3 WR. I’m certainly not bringing him in to get 10-15 targets a game when I have Kupp and Nacua.
Besides, the Rams already have a deep threat who can stretch the field and only gets targeted a couple times a game—Tutu Atwell.

And before somebody chimes in with the “ adams is WAY better than Atwell”, ask yourself if adams could play such a role (a handful of targets, maybe, per game) without sulking, yelling, or throwing a temper tantrum? Tutu has.

Tutu Atwell?

You'd have to think that if he were on the block, that the Jets would be all over it. Sure they have Wilson, but not much else.
Oh right, they have Lance McCutcheon....

A vet minimum bargain at ILB, OlB, CB or DT, possibly even safety, could make a pretty big impact considering the difference on paper between the two units - so no, that’s not where I would put any extra Benjamins for team success

Great player though!

Absolutely not. No way I trade a first-round pick and more for another thirty-one-year-old receiver.

It sure would be sweet if Whittington or someone else emerges.h

I have a feeling this kid is going to get a lot of playing time this season. As long as he can block, Mcvay will play him.
