I've thought about this. Gurleys struggles can't be all on the Oline. Benny might bring a little balance to the team and open up the run game.
Well, just because one facet of the offense is working, doesn't mean we shouldn't try to get it all clicking.
Just a thought. I'm 99.99999% sure it's not gonna happen anyway.
Not suggesting we bench him. Cunningham isn't benched either.
Only suggesting we *start* Cunningham and rotate Gurley in.
Or, at a minimum, increase Benny's carries to see if it's a RB problem, or something more systemic.

I considered that, and here's my answer.Question: If and I think it's a big if, Fisher decided to start Benny, and they had some real success with Benny running the ball, what do you think it would do to Gurley's psyche?
Good point. It's all about production, and the best players play. I'm just a big ol' softy at heart! :grouphug:I considered that, and here's my answer.
So what.
Not trying to be insensitive or anything, but really ... so what.
If that would make him pout and he ends up putting his feelings over the good of the team, then how do you think that would go over?
Should Fisher start Cunningham?
Really fixed it for ya Leuzer!I like this idea.

Exactly....his style is too impatient at the moment....I'd rather he not touch the ball so much in the first half...back the defense off with PA fakes....and the occasional screen pass. I'd like them to fake the screen to him, and throw it to the opposite side of the field to Tavon...I'd like to see some halfback passes...and I mean a bunch of them....and I'd also like to see some wildcat stuff...with Tavon....but that's just me...I also think Gurley has been pressing a bit, and not allowing the O-Line time to create the running lanes. I remember Marshall Faulk talking about the success of running the ball. He stated the need to run "through" the hole and not "to" the hole. If you watch some of Gurley's runs he looks to be running hard to get to the hole and it hasn't yet developed.
Said the Georgia fan.No. And I'm trying not to be mean here but this is one of the dumber threads I've seen here.
Sorry, I misunderstood you, I thought you where talking about starting Benny this week. I might agree about trying it next week!Yep. That's why I said if Gurley struggles this week.
I'm relatively sure Benny would be good to go next week.
I agree.I think both parties share some responsibility.(oline and Gurley)(I don't think so),
