These drafts can't be good we lost the brains behind the success, Brad Holmes! Snead can't possibly function without him.
Happy Episode 7 GIF by Wrexham AFC

I don't even understand how that was a thing. Holmes was working with multiple 1sts and 2nds while Snead was making his first pick in the 3rd round.

Look at his haul in the 1st and 2nd rounds the last two drafts. Avila, Verse and Fiske. What a haul.

Had they drafted Aiden O'Connell instead of Bennett, it would have been a near perfect draft last year. Don't know if O'Connell will ever be a high level starter, but he at least has a shot to be a stop gap starter down the road and a decent back up QB now.

Yes, many of us weren't crazy about taking Bennett. I wanted O'Connell as the backup QB pick too. Can't get them alk right I guess :weary:

Just bumping this because.. in week 3, in a must-win situation.. this rookie class came up HUGE.

Seriously... Fiske and Verse are at least as advertised.
Corum isn't doing anything but kicks yet.. but has looked okay there.
Kinchens had some really rough moments this weekend.. but also started to get it going.
Still waiting on Jackson.

But... THAT SIXTH ROUND!!!!!

Just amazing, critical. contributions from Limmer, Whittington and Karty... and Tyler Davis is showing he belongs.

I mean... 5 starters in this draft? Wow.

It’s easy to forget that Verse & Fiske are rookies. Last year, Young and Turner had way less pressure playing with AD; and they had less early season successes. These two rookies this year are part of the other teams focus and game plan now. Yet they are having a big impact.

Both just need to settle down staying within the system; and finish plays off - so many times they are so close to getting sacks & TFLs.

Two amazing draft classes in a row. AMAZING.
Verse and Fiske are the two frontrunners for defensive rookie of the year. Verse is definitely #1.. just an effing beast.. and today was a nice coming out party for Fiske!
Tyler Davis looking better every game!
Corum didn't get much of a chance today.. Oline wasn't getting much push, though.
Limmer.. keeping things together up front... ZERO sacks today!!
Whittington was out..
KINCHENS!!!!!!!!! Just some AMAZING ball skills and.. what a great return!!!
Karty came through!!

AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT... WHAT ABOUT THE BANGER UDFA CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dedich!!! Again, no sacks on Stafford!!! This kid looks like, at worst, a solid, cheap, young backup!!
Speights!! Making some plays!!
McCullough!!!! ANOTHER INT ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

Guys.. this is just... INSANE!!!

It's almost incomprehensible that a team can pick so many good to great players in two straight drafts.

These two drafts could one day become part of Rams folklore if they manage to win a superbowl or two with these players.

.

Wondering if this helps out the salary cap with any significance?

It's around 12 starters and 2 rotation players from the two drafts. That's half the starters.

Will the Rams have some significant cap space to load up quality free agents the next few years?

Methinks Mcvay sticking around was to see if he could build things from the ground up on his own and still be successful.

So far its looking great for him.

The last piece will be choosing his own QB, ala Reid with Mahomes. Then we will see how much his success is completely on him.

C'mon man. What is this?

All his success is completely on him. The rest of the league knows this. That's why they keep signing up any coach that has worked with him.

The Rams turned from a joke to a playoff team as soon as he entered the building. The rest of the nfl world only found out once the 2017 regular season started.

Rookies McCullough, Kinchens, Verse, Fiske, Dedich, Limmer, Spieghts.

We don't win the game yesterday without these SEVEN rookies major MAJOR contributions.

Now if we could find a superior tight end and another inside linebacker in the draft, we will be scary good

McVay got his guys in the Stafford trade.

Im not sure who wanted Bennet and Wolford, but I hope we’ve learned from it.

The amount of rookie talent they have brought in the last two years is staggering. Looking at the players that they have added – counting only those players they have added to their squad during their rookie seasons - shows the great scouting that this team is currently doing. I am listing the two Practice Squad (PS) players that were just released for the two punters due to Ethan Evans’ illness, assuming that they are likely to be re-signed when Evans is healthy.
