I've been buried in papers the past week, and I have to submit my research proposal next Friday so I haven't restocked my whiskey yet. As soon as I submit that proposal I'm heading to the city centre to my favourite shop to load up and then I'm going to forget what my name is.

Can never find Blantons in my market…have many friends that recommended it

As an everyday bottle, JW Black has been very enjoyable.
Been on a bib n tucker run lately. And yes blanton is impossible to find these days

OK, I'll play along and share my underwhelming scotch collection:

Glenfiddich special reserve
The Glenlivet 12 double oak
Oban 14

Islay and Jura:
Lagavulin 16
Ardbeg 10
Finlaggan
Jura 10

Blends:
Johnnie Red
Johnnie Black
Johnnie Double Black

Scotch types (my classification of whiskies distilled in the scotch manner, only not in Scotland):
Suntory Toki (Japan)
Starward Two Fold (Australia)
Two Tigers (India)

The rest, bourbon and other American whiskies

Love all their stuff. Because it's so hot in Taiwan their aging process is much, much quicker. Like a ten year old Kavalan is the equivalent of a 30 year old scotch.

Yeah, I have the Classic—their original recipe. I normally don’t like fruity notes, but it works with this one. Beautiful bottle too.

I'm up to 75 bottles in my collection. Recent additions are:

-another bottle of Talisker 18 (seriously - greatest whisky on the planet),

-Arran Machrie Moor (peated Arran, its normally unpeated. Very tasty).

- independent bottling of Longmorn distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2019

- independent bottling of Tobermory which is 21 years old and was bottled exclusively for a whisky shop in Berlin

I have a problem.
No, you don't have a problem. You have a passion! And you are educating and inspiring me to expand my pallet!

This Glenmorangie 10 is growing on me … not bad.

I am having a glass while watching the 40min highlights of the Rams v Texans game at the moment.

I am celebrating the SB win by going through every game this season. Game 8 is underway.

Go Rams!

Tun 1509? Your boss is a generous man or woman. That's a 350 dollar whisky in the UK.

My favourite - Talisker 18 - has gone up in price from £80 to £250. Seriously, the bastards. I bought 3 extra bottles while it was still cheap... now I don't know whether to drink them or sell them for instant profit.

(I do know. Imma drink that shit. Slainte)

Sweet collection. I assume the Ardbeg is an acquired taste. I believe I had the 10 year and it was peaty, earthy and tasted like it was filtered through a coal mine.
