If you want to watch a creative offense watch the Rose Bowl and the Oregon offense.

Will that style of offense work in the NFL for a prolonged period of time? It can score points, but it also leaves the defense vulnerable. I know the Patriots have used aspects of the offense and the Eagles have the architect as their HC. I know this is boring, but the team that runs the ball the best, wins the turnover battle, and plays good defense wins far more often than not.

The Rams aren't huge dramatic moves away. If we improve the line we will be a much better team.

I'd say if Mariota does really well, I mean really well, against Bama's D....

Rams really should try and pry him away from whomever. I adamantly believe we're a QB and two O-Line pieces (from the draft) away from the playoffs.

I expect Florida State to win this game and Winston to outplay Mariota.

Components of that style do work as we have seen but your point is a good one.

Especially in the playoffs because weather becomes a REAL factor in about half the games in January. If you can't run that makes it a lot harder to win in about half of the NFL cities, even ones that don't see snow can/will see colder temps, wind and rain.

Mariota is going to have a tough game I think. FSU has a great secondary. PJ Williams, Jalen Ramsey, Ronald Darby are all expected to be 1st to 2nd rounders in their drafts. They can play.

I am not sure what makes them creative. There are only 12 teams in the country that run the ball more than Oregon. They run it 63% percent of the time. And, by looking at the chart below they even run it 49% of the time on obvious passing downs.

You and every other GM in the league. I really hate being so predictable in a draft. I hope Snead can get some of the Oline stuff out of the way in free agency. If they get Wisneiwski and another Guard that would take the 'Need' out of the draft and teams wont know which way the Rams will go. If Snead doesn't get some holes filled Via free agency then it will be obvious that in the top 3 rounds that QB, G,C are likely targets and teams with the same need will be trying to jump the Rams for certain players.

Hey 8to 12, nice work on the stats. There run game is rarely straight forward though, always some kind of misdirection is put into almost every run.
