BTW regarding the close call with Allen (fumble or incomplete forward pass)....

In a normal throwing motion, the elbow will (often) move forward slightly a split-second prior to the forearm moving forward. Looks like that was the case on this play, so yes, it was an extremely close call.

I believe the rule technically is about "the hand moving forward", not "the arm moving forward", as is often stated by announcers.

Allen's elbow was definitely moving forward prior to him being hit. But whether or not his forearm and hand were moving forward? Really, really close. I don't fault Romo one bit for honestly stating he couldn't tell, even after viewing the replay.... it was ridiculously close.

In the Rams - stealers game in 2019 Goff's arm moved forward a foot and they still called it a fumble for a td. The crooks in new York were working overtime during that game.

And someone brought up Sanchez. Seriously? He has to be the worst. My son and I watched a couple games he did this season and couldn't believe how bad he was. He was constantly coming up with dumb ass lines that he thought were funny but were just idiotic.

Some folks on Reddit were saying that somewhere down the line NFL brass told Romo to stop being so technical, giving away plays and such, and start being more of what he is today. I don't know if there's any truth to that.

I will say he's gotten pretty terrible. He's just as bad calling a Bills game as Collinsworth when calling a Chief's game in that they're both sucking off the QB. Romo has like 10 different, stupid, nicknames for him and I cringe at each of them: Mr. January, Michael Jordan, The Champ, Superman, The/An Alien among others. Give me a fuckin' break.

I was never impressed with this guy in the booth. From the very beginning... I expressed my dislike for his guessing the wrong play most of the time and the rest of his act.

I've always liked Romo and something he said during the game, the Bengals just look like the better team they just make it look easy or something to that effect. But right before he said that I remember thinking the same thing.
