Akers would be an awesome pick, but not until the third!

Upstate, NY (Guilderland, near Albany) and I usually get to four games a year In Columbus, which is about a nine hour drive, but I'm in my 50's and fly now most of the time.

Wow. I live 20 minutes from the stadium and before my daughter was born we were only going to one game a year, and usually a non-conference game. That's impressive.

Obviously it helps having Friend's that have season tickets, many of which of had it in their families since the Eisenhower Administration.

I find all of them irrelevant. As the best team in the Sunshine State are the Knights of Central Florida.

I can NOT argue with you on that one since My Daughter, Son and Daughter-in-law (She actually pitched on their Softball Team) graduated from UCF!

I didn't see this thread then.

But I would have said I would trade up 10 places and leave feeling like I got a steal.
I think he will be great. Maybe not a thoroughbred like Gurley coming out, but a great football player and will be perfect for this team.
He lacks eye-popping measurements and played with no help whatsoever.
That's the ONLY reason we got him where we did.
Had he simply took the easy way out and bolted for any team with a shred of offense, he wouldn't have been available near #52.

I am a little surprised there weren't more people stoked about him, honestly.

Its not like he is Brian Leonard.

I think a lot of folks were down on him due to the talent around him. I'll admit I overlooked him a bit due to that. But the NFL teams look a little deeper and consider all that, the talent plus the scheme and fit etc.

Either way he's a Ram so I'm behind him. And judging from the interviews and comments I've seen by him I think he's a hell of a great locker room addition too. We need a guy who can eat carries so here's hoping he does that, and here's hoping the OL gives him some space to operate.

I wouldn't have minded the Brian Leonard pick if he was selected in the sixth round.

But in the second, I was like who the frick is making these picks for the Rams.

First we take two tight ends the year before and now Brian Leonard in the second.

2006 and 2007 draft years were epitome of really bad drafts.

I don't think they could have done worse if they threw a damn dart at a board of top players those two years.

They might have accidentally found a good player or 2 in those drafts with the darts system...
