The Legend of Hercules

3/10(and thats being nice)

For having a $70 million dollar budget, would have expected much more. Seemed like a made for TV movie you would see on the Si-Fi channel. Barely made it through the thing, only did because I stopped paying attention to most of it.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Watched a few months ago and not sure if I posted already but rewatched a better copy tonight

8/10

Good movie, highly recommend, especially over The Legend of Hercules.

Watched Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance last night. It sucked and blew at the same time. 1/10 Car chase/motorcycle chase/hostage scenes/a flaming skull/lots of stuff blowing up - rinse and repeat. But Nicolas Cage is always a scream, so there's that.

The one Marvel movie I purposefully avoid. I think Elektra is better.

Speaking of Marvel...Winter Soldier. Awesome. 8/10.

So just Avengers: Age of Ultron remains in Phase 2. Next year. Next year.

I saw "Snowpiercer" the other day, and thought it was pretty awesome. The main character is the dude who plays "Captain America" (too lazy to look up his real name), and the story-line is unlike any other you've ever seen. It starts out in a way that you'd expect it to evolve, but it continues to surprise you as it goes on. I recommend it to everyone here.

Watched that last week, was pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth watching.

Actually Guardians of the Galaxy is part of Phase 2. And that comes out later this year in August.

True, even tho I don't know how much that will tie into Age of Ultron...except for The Collector.

Guardians of the Galaxy looks awesome too.

Winter Soldier was just about the best Marvel movie. 9/10--it's not just an action flick; they've included political thriller aspects in the plot.

The build up to the elevator fight scene is actually quite humorous.

Draft Day 8/10 but I am a sucker for sports movies. How can you not go see this movie anyways?

Bad Words
8/10

Movie was funny as hell. Jason Batemen plays a 40 year old guy who enters a kids nationally televised Spelling Bee and gets in due to falling into the guidelines. He is a huge asshole and fucks with the kids and shit. A very good watch.

13 Sins

7/10

Increasingly sadistic flick. That is all.

Windtalkers

6.5 out of 10

Too much Nicolas Cage and not enough emphasis on the Navajo code experts. The battle scenes were well done though, especially the invasion of Saipan

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

First time watching it. Meh, it was alright, maybe I was expecting too much, found Eastwood to be a bit wooden.

:fishing:

American Hustle.

9/10. I'm not even sure why it doesn't get 10/10, other than the fact that I've never given a movie a 10/10. One of the few movies where I couldn't figure out how it was going to end until it actually ended. And the character development is awesome. You actually get to know all about all of the key players and you get invested in them too. Louis C.K. was pretty good in it as well, for how small a role he had.
I completely agree with you on this. I don't watch very many movies anymore, but I accidentally started watching it and it just reeled me in and kept me engaged. I've now seen it a few times, and have enjoyed it each time.

Such a great metaphor for everything that's been wrong with the USA over the last 100 years - everyones just hustling everyone else in a nonstop circle. And those that give a damn about rules, like Richie DiMaso's FBI boss, Stoddard Thorsen, get abused and stampeded.

finally sat down and watched a movie in one sitting, which is not something I usually do

wifey and I watched GRAVITY and I really dont see what all the fuss was about with it winning Best Picture and whatever other awards.

I gave it 6/10 and that is only because of Sandra Bullock in short shorts and a tank top
