Just seen an ad for “Carry-On” during the commercial break in the PIT-BAL game. The ad says “The best Netflix thriller in years”, or something similar.

I actually watched it the other night and thought it was okay but nothing special. Plot is cliched, acting fair, there’s literally nothing outstanding about it. It’s worth a watch if you’ve got nothing else to do, I suppose.

6/10
Was Sid James good in it?

I tried it. I thought it was hokey. The guy gets a call and they say he had to let the bag through. I’d have hung up immediately and called in help. Instead he stays on long enough for them to find out who his GF was. I turned it off.

Bateman played his character pretty good… and the movie was entertaining.

But, there were a lot of scenes that were pretty far fetched. That airport would have been shutdown if all that was happening in real life… and the characters were moving thru secure areas without any resistance.

Just watched Longlegs.

It was OK i suppose. Wasn't boring but wasn't enthralling either. It was supposed to be a horror movie as well I think but didn't find anything scary about it.

The end of the movie? C'mon man.

Late Night With The Devil.

Great horror movie. Not much in action, or even horror. But really well made and, more importantly, an interesting movie.

It's like you're watching a late night show in real time. Except interesting. Good stuff. Strong recommendation.

Yeah, I was excited for this one.
I love Cage and it got a lot of "Silence of the Lambs" hype.
It was just ok.
Disappointed.....

Back In Action on Netflix.

The usual vacuous action/comedy film. Harmless fun but hardly original or particularly interesting.

I would have given it 6/10, but they somehow think the Thames Barrier keeps out the Atlantic Ocean, when it's actually the North Sea, so they're losing a point for that.

Gladiator 2

Loved how they tied the two films in together I wasn't expecting it. Also a good movie with a good cast.

Hunger on Netflix, a Thai film about a chef.

So many ways to read this film; the only thing I would say is to watch the dubbed version, not the subtitled one, in order to fully appreciate the cinematography.

Okay, it’s a bit cliched in places, but it’s still one of the best films I’ve seen recently. 8/10.

The Wild Robot

The new animated movie from Dreamworks

7/10

It was a enjoyable film

Predictable , familiar story

Stonehearst Asylum

This movie has a stellar cast. It stars Ben Kingsley, Michael Cain, Jim Sturges, and Kate Beckinsale. It takes place in an English Asylum in 1899. I was skeptical about watching it but I needed something different. I’m glad I decided to give it a shot. It’s on Prime.

8/10.
