did you actually watch it ?

I have to interest in watching the new one at all

No, I haven't. I read the Wiki, though, and it sounds like total shit. Where's the actual fucking "Crow"? Kronos? Are you kidding me? I think it's horseshit.

Oh, by the way, the antagonist is a mobster (with a name that cannot be taken seriously: Roeg. Not even medieval people would name their child that.) who made a deal with the Devil to gain the power to kill people and automatically send their souls to Hell. Yeah. They literally went to the most laughable type of villain ever.

PS……I have a copy in my DVR cue with El Dorado, Rio Bravo, The Searchers and a couple other non-Duke classics like Casablanca and Sergeant York

just in case there isn’t anything on and it’s too cold to go fishing
All great, Seargent York is on my short list of all time favorites

Heart Of Stone (Netflix)

Basically, a Bond film. Loads of set piece stunts, clichéd bad guys, etc, but piss-poor plot and terrible acting.

1/10, and that’s only because Gal Gadot is fairly hot.

Actually, make that 2/10, because I have been to the fish and chip shop in the film several times. Alas, Ms Gadot has never been there at the same time.

Cloverfield

I've been wanting to see this horror flick for a while. The first 18 minutes were hard to get through because loud music, drunk people and stupid conversation bores me to tears. After that, the monsters strike Manhattan after an earthquake. It's "found" smart phone footage by a guy who is eventually is killed by the monster. It rarely shows the monster(s) which makes the story more suspenseful.
3 out 5 stars.

Aliens Romulus

I really enjoyed the movie. A little more story between Alien and Aliens in the timeline and some good action and a fun cast.

8/10

OOps - I was thinking you were talking about Red Notice.

I was going to say I liked it because it was a fun movie even if it wasn't better than a B movie.

Red Notice - I would give a 6 out of 10 - enjoyable but nothing to write home about.

Not a modern movie buff but saw two recently in theaters that stuck out in a good way.

Smile 2 9/10, excellent sequel.

Terrifier 3 9/10, loved all the GRUESOME scenes up close, simple plot creative kills, tis the season. ;)

Finally would like to go see Gladiator 2.

So, I went to look up that movie, Heart of Stone... and I see this:
Never heard of that kind of technician before.... :sur:

Heretic.

One of the few films Ive liked Hugh Grant in.
Well written and clever at times.
Dialog heavy script, which, I enjoy.
Its a movie I really enjoyed that touches on the themes of faith, life and fate in a suspenseful way.
As my father said to me more than once, if you go out on a clear night, away from the city lights, look at the stars and really consider what you are seeing.....well, there are only a couple of possible truths. They are all terrifying.
Hugh Grant was great in this, as were the two young female co stars.
8.5/10

I watched the original 3:10 to Yuma, starring Glen Ford. Excellent movie. Ford is a very nice guy, but watch out with him. He tempts the farmer with more money than he's ever seen to let him go, along with telling him how the family men with him would desert him when they consider the dangers to themselves and their families. As it gets closer to 3:10, the farmer is alone with the outlaw, trying to get him to the train, amid gunfire.
9.5 of 10.

The 2007 remake, starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale, is also well worth watching.

I watched that movie a very long time ago when I was a teen. One of the few Westerns I actually paid any attention to. The doctor was actually my favorite character in that.

WHY DO ALL OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS DIE?!

Not sure how I missed this horror masterpiece from back in 2008, but I watched it this weekend and I thought it was AWESOME.

It's got Kelly Reilly (Beth from Yellow Stone) in it and she is something else. The ending is unexpected and puts the cherry on top of this one. MUST SEE. Watched it for free on Amazon I think.

I do like a good western....

Just seen an ad for “Carry-On” during the commercial break in the PIT-BAL game. The ad says “The best Netflix thriller in years”, or something similar.

I actually watched it the other night and thought it was okay but nothing special. Plot is cliched, acting fair, there’s literally nothing outstanding about it. It’s worth a watch if you’ve got nothing else to do, I suppose.
