Wouldn’t be surprised if the Rams trade a 6th rd pick for an ILB.
And after last year’s experience with Tredavious White I wouldn’t even consider CJ Mosley.

I'm not going to jump up and down because Rozenboom and Hummel are gone.... it's not as much about them, as it is I'm actually ecstatic that we are actually going to upgrade the ILB spot .... actually just happy they are going to address the position in the draft...and maybe even.... **gasp** free agency...

I don't ask for much...we don't have to spend a ton...just address the position...find the next Littleton or Kiser...I'd be happy with that.... find the next Travin Howard for goodness sakes....lol

A Rams 5th, 7th or UDFA player? That's a piece of cake and hardly worth worrying about and easily addressed. I'd wager there is a draft pick and an UDFA or two we seem to always do that.

Wish we could have seen more of Hummel last year, given how he played in preseason. Always thought he'd be a nice pseudo nickel type for us but he never won a role. And I appreciate how Rozeboom played. Wish them both well either way and looking forward to them getting an upgrade from this class. I think they've got some intriguing options round 3+, hoping they take Martin but there's a few good choices.

I'm not so sure there. I'd lean more towards CB or offensive weapon.
Agree, as there's only 1 ILB even considered a 1st round pick I think there's no way we take one there. Though we're all wrong more often then not of course but I agree it's either a CB, WR or TE in the 1st.

Schwesinger in the 3rd?
Kobe King in the 4th?

There are many guys like those 2 in the 3rd and later that are much more likely IMO to be Rams than Campbell in the 1st.
Don’t see how The Rams can pass on Jihaad Campbell if he is there at
26. I do understand that MLB’s aren’t valued that highly, especially by The Rams.

The thing that gets me is how much better he can make The Rams defense if he’s there.

Don’t know The Rams metrics or who else will be there.IMO though,I’d give The Rams an excellent chance of winning it all, especially if they resign Whiterspoon.

A TE with speed & RB would be nice addition, unless a OT they have circled is there.

It's very easy to see how they can pass on an ILB or RB.

I now think it’s our 1st pick and will probably draft two.

I wouldn’t mind a stud linebacker with the first pick. It’s the one piece the defense is really missing.

I recall a few years ago McVay really likely Owusu-Karamoah. So maybe they are more open to it than we think.

Kobe King in the 4th?

King really improved in his final season. Some people may be cool on him because he’s a late bloomer, but the real reason his game got so much better is coaching. PSU great LB Dan Connor joined the staff as an assistant and the entire unit started to play better. King isn’t much of a pass defender but he can play the run.

I'm going to edit this thread to add a list of the players signed and lost during FA so that it is easy to update. Hope you don't mind @NCRamGuy

Here goes.

Signed:
Alaric Jackson (resigned)
Devante Adams
Poona Ford
TuTu Atwell (resigned)
Coleman Shelton
Jimmy G (resigned)
Dylan McMahon (tendered)

Lost:
Michael Hoecht
Hunter Long
Bobby Brown
Tre Tomlinson
DeMarcus Robinson
Christian Rozenboom
Neville Gallimore

It’s always a good thing when the list of signed players are better than the list of lost players

I can still see Campbell as our version of Fred Warner. He's in my top 3 list of who might be available at 26 that I would love to see in Horns.

He's good but how often has our list as fans matched the teams? Said it many times an ilb would be nice but until they put serious resources to it we're likely to use a day 3 pick much more likely than a 1st.
