McKinley has had some serious injuries. Tore his Achilles just nine months ago.

Plenty of time to throw random shit against the wall to see if it sticks, before selling capital for a late season pass rusher.

First thing he will need to do is lose weight. He's too heavy for OLB. Unless they want him as a third down interior rusher type role.
I don't know about that Merlin.

260 lbs is the weight McKinley came into the league at a few years ago as a #1 pick by the Falcons.

He's an Edge and (if healthy) could be in the mix with Floyd, Hollins, Lewis and Keir Thomas. I believe Lewis and Thomas are both over 260. Just hoping this signing is not motivated by concerns over Floyd's knee and Lewis' durability.

Tak is 'stockier' looking because he's 6'2", not 6'4" or 6'5".

Well if they want him to spell 54 at times then he'd probably be fine at his usual weight. But in this defense they have to drop at times in coverage. They have to contain as well. He has always struck me as more a classic end in terms of how he fits. So I think getting lean will be his friend in this defense. I think it's part of the reason he's never cut it in the NFL as well so that would be my expectation for him if I'm Morris.

Agreed but he’s played Edge at 260 since entering the League.

I assume he’s around that weight now; and has been brought in to compete for an Edge role.

Don’t see him being asked to lose weight in late-September. Do you?

No, not especially.
If he's maintained his other skills and passes his physical, then I'm happy with the addition.

Well my guess is this & like I posted today about how The Rams do things.

Les Snead & his scouting are big,but from what Mcvay has been saying if late is that he & Raheem know players in the league as well.

My guess is Sean Mcvay respects Raheem Morris as much as anyone?
Morris was with the Falcons when this kid was there. If so that says enough about relationships & players.

Von Miller is more of a Edge rusher as well. Not comparing, but The Rams have needed as pass rusher badly & got Lucky to have been able to have traded for Von Miller.

Cap wise & draft wise The Rams have been strapped. As injuries as well.
