Yeah, given how traumatized everyone was last year, I knew I'd have to jump in early this year.

Don't get me wrong, I love the marquee signings and the constant aggressive outlook towards roster building....

.... but I think I might be exhausted by it. I totally believed this was real, it didn't even shock me... I thought "Of course we did. I don't know how..."

Nothing is shocking anymore.

I fully expect us to stay aggressive and opportunistic... but I'm kinda hoping we reach a level of sustainability that keeps us in contention without feeling like the roster has to be all-Madden all over it, all of the time...

Seriously though... I could have been more evil and said something like "Cam Akers traded away to Colts for 4th round pick" ....or something else even more frightening and disturbing. Compared to that, getting people's hopes up for Gilmore for 3 seconds is pretty mild...

Besides, given Snead and this crazy go-for-broke mentality, maybe Gilmore actually joins us soon....!
