Hope I'm wrong, but I don't understand why the Rams think he's gonna suddenly solve his accuracy problems. Yeah, he's got a big leg. But he's got a track record of being pretty inaccurate for the last 5 years.

Agree. What I don’t get is why this guy is getting so much leeway compared to Maher. This guy is worse.

we got him to make field goals. hopefully he can mentor Havrimiss to get that accuracy lined up with his badda boom leg. Crosbys the man. go Rams

Havrisk was done after the game last week.
Rams were hedging their bets all week, now that Crosby is good to go, he’s the new K “right now”

Well.. we know that's not the case.. because no one carries a backup kicker.

I mean.. we'll see.. but the fact that he's still there is something different.

Something different in that McVay wanted to see how the 40 year old leg held up after a couple days of practice? Likely.
The dude can’t kick. Doesn’t matter how strong his leg is. Like others have said, he’s never been good, no reason to think that will change at the highest level in the sport

That sounds like one good reason.

I'm just not as sure on the second part. Like I pointed out.. he's hitting 70%.. Gay hit 77% as a rookie.
But maybe 70% is his ceiling, not his floor.

I'm not understanding the Gay comparison? Gay hit only 77% and got cut because of it, was considered a bust.

again, my guess is he will be "inactive" for Sundays game, and depending how Crosby does i the shit weather, they have the option to send either back to the PS

Outside of being kickers, what possible correlation could be made?
Gay, incredible college kicker, 5th round pick has terrible rookie season where he ranked 24th in FG and XP conversion %
Havrisik. Mediocre college career at best, bounced around PS for a season and now has missed at least 1 kick in 4 straight games. His misses arent close and some of his makes are nerve wracking

So as of right now the Rams have 2 kickers on their 53-man roster?

So Havrisik will be inactive tomorrow since Crosby was elevated to active roster?

Young kickers with big legs.
Tampa invested a 5th and threw it away.

In 21-22, Gay had 11 50+ FGs… a legit weapon. Succop had 2.

The Rams, not me, the Rams.. who have developed a young kicker with a huge leg.. see similarities.

We’ll see if they decide he’s not getting it.
