Road-grading guard/center who is 330 lbs., won the Outland Award for best interior offensive lineman, only one sack allowed in his college career. I am in love with this pick.

EDIT: Outland Award semifinalist. Thank you, @jjab360 for the correction.

Really nice pick. They have their replacement for Allen next year. Steve should start at LG then move over to C next year. With Bruss at RG they got two good IOL players. It answers not only Allen's fate, but also that this year is about building the foundation for a sustained run at multiple Lombardi trophies.

This should make a huge difference in this year's run attack. You can't say this team is conceding this year. Give Stafford a run game and this offense will be very good. Edge should come in the third. I think McKee and Tune are in play at QB. McKee could drop as far as the 5th.

Zero holding calls as well , I like it when the Rams simply make a solid pick , and Steve Avila is a good solid pick

Cant be mad at a big and talented iOL prospect. Kid seems like a day 1 starter to me. We have so many holes on this roster we cant get picky. Just draft great talent.
I don't think our offensive line is really that far off as far as talent and experience
And there's virtually no way we can sustain as many injuries.

So this was probably the smartest pick they could have made.
Control the line of scrimmage and you control the game 90% of the time.

Man, don't like how he looks at guard at times. We already have a lot of guards who can't deal with stunts and can't figure out who to block on pass plays. Hopefully he fixes that part. I do like the thought of him at center though all though if he struggles with block recognition at guard I'm scared if he can call them at the line as center. But certainly has the beef we have been lacking and hopefully will get his weaknesses coached out of him.
