I was on record saying I'd trade Kyren if we could, as a result, have drafted say a Quinshon Judkins who I think is a stud at running back. Obviously that didn't happen lol so I'm currently on the side of not extending him as of right now unless he shows improvement on those ball security issues plus I don't like the fact that he also leaves tons of yards on the field because he doesn't have that extra gear to get em. Hopefully one of our other RBs show something because I'm also not huge on 2nd running back contracts unless that running back is other worldly. If the Rams do end up signing Kyren to another contract, I hope it isn't expensive as hell and has an out just in case. Running back is one of those positions that don't last as much as we'd like. Such a brutal position to play.

Pretty hard to say if another RB even gets those yards. Think about it. When we put in Corum, aside from a few plays, he went nowhere and neither did our offense. Whereas KW doesn't have the break away speed, he has the vision, decisiveness, and nose for the goal line others do not. Cripes! How many yards and TDs would he have if he had that break away speed? He would be far and away the best RB in the league. 1300 yards, 14 TDs, 85 1st downs from a guy and you want to trade him for a possibly better RB while giving up some kind of draft compensation as well? Count me out on that deal.

Nice post , and you only named some of the reasons that Kyren is the Prototype RB when it comes to being a Ram. Pass protection, character, attitude can be added to that list.
It's pretty safe to say he left yards on the field but whether or not someone would have got them is definitely a valid question. With saying I would have traded Kyren if we could have gotten Quinshon Judkins is me more so saying if we traded Kyren for picks (not use the existing draft capital) where one could have been used on Judkins is where I said I would have done just that. As much as I appreciate Kyren being a pretty good back for us, I believe we can do better for this offense plus I'd rather not sink dollars into that position unless its a bonafide superstar. As many here have stated, if we could get a more explosive element at the RB position, the offense would be way more dangerous. However, I get that's easier said then done. We'll see how Hunter does, but I still believe Judkins will be a legit back. Only sad part is he's fucked being on a successful team since he's a Brown now lol. As usual, if I'm wrong about Kyren not being a future back that's best for us, I'm ok with that too

What you’re saying then is that either we were going to get a very high 2nd round pick for Kyren or we were going to have to augment that trade with other draft capital in order to move up to get Judkins.
