Depends on the manor in which it's done. There's a fellow on another site who believes Kyren has a fumbling problem (true); that he's not a home run hitter (true) and that not only should the Rams not extend him, but trade him (no way). He has claimed it's the right time because his "value is high". If his value is so high, why TF would the Rams trade him? IMHO, the guy might in fact be Blaine Grisak under a different name because BG basically manipulated those stats to show he's not a "home run hitter" or perhaps, something worse (trade bait?).
Kyren does many things well. He has a nose for the goal line. 31 TDs the last 2 years (26 rushing, 5 receiving). He's damn good in short yardage......40 carries on 3 & 1-3, 34 first downs, 10 carries on 4th and 1-3, 8 first downs the last 2 years (84%)...some of that obviously is on the goal line. He's damn good at pass pro. And he's a decent receiver.
He has a fumbling problem and he's not a breakaway runner. 19 runs of 10 yards + last year with longs of 30 and 27. But first downs and big runs don't win games. TDs do. Correct the fumbling issues and we have a damn good (affordable) running back.
