When you draft a corner they come out of the draft with raw abilities. Not all of them have the ability to play the ball at the NFL level.

Kendrick played the ball, which I love, but he did not have the ability to stick with receivers at this level. His lack of speed killed his chances.

White was a reclamation project, a dice roll on health that we lost.

This kid has legit speed. And he has film at college level and pro level showing him undercutting routes and playing the ball with his head up. Still might bust. But the raw skills are there.
6'1", long arms, 4.3 40, great quickness and hip flexibility, and averaged 5 INTs per year in college (with most career pick sixes in FBS history). The talent is there. Play strength is a problem. And he has struggled immensely transitioning to the NFL. But he's still only 23. The right coach and scheme might be able to bring more out of him. First thing you have to do is get him believing in himself again (rebuild the confidence).

Hold up. Okay, so it's not written clearly - yes that's the Commie dead cap, but the cap hit to the Rams (according to Spo) is
2025: 2,150,688
2026: 2,851,032

I mean, it's not chump change and the 2026 hit is a hair more than the Rams took on Tre White this year, but the Rams hit is not 3.09M or 4.1M, just for clarification.
Those cap hits to the Rams are certainly not chump change. It means the coaches feel very confident they can cultivate the talent Forbes has.

We play a lot more zone coverages than Washington. I'm wondering if their thought process is that by plugging him into a different scheme, he'd be successful.

This is a fucking amazing pick up! Especially considering what we paid White to basically fuck up and show he's past even his average prime.

6'0 good arm length speed and change of direction. Wonder if it was a locker room/confidence problem a particular coaching stafff member??

edit: just went to FOreskins forums and they all used the adjectives " forbes sucked" but not one I seen elaborated on what he doesn't that 'sucks'. I did see a few posters post that his confidence is down. Looks like that will be the key to getting him where he needs to be.

Man he got cooked. It is AJ Brown though and he's s beast to contend with. Not a good matchup for some with his build.
Seems like his play last season was better than his play this season. Not sure if he and Whitt just didn't hit it off, or if it was the calls, or what. Still Forbes' fault of course. The player needs to play within the scheme. But it'll be interesting to see how the Rams use him and whether he's all-in mentally. Hope he's ready to do the work.

The board has their new Kendrick.
Seriously though, file this under ‘why the H not’.
Feed him steak and steroids/hgh over the next 6-8 months!
No need for a new Kendrick. He's still on the team!
You still have to wonder why washington would release him being the draft capital they have invested
New staff that didn't draft him? Consider how Asshole Face ran Russ out of town. Some guys don't mesh with the new coach, for whatever reason.

Feels like one for next year rather than this year. We sure as hell need CB help anyway so I am glad they're making moves like this.

Drafted by the previous regime and the new regime wasn't impressed with him. The commodes also parted ways with young and sweat former first round players who have some value. Let's see if he gets on the field this season. Our Defense isn't loaded with talent at corner so he may look great by comparison.

I hope this move works out for Forbes sake and to improve a position of weakness for the Rams. I like seeing the Rams making moves to improve the team during the season and not waiting for the off season. They have a serious chance to make the playoffs this year. A move like this shows a commitment to improving the team during the season.
