Layne is a converted wide receiver who, at 6-foot-3, has great ball skills. He's very physical within rules in press-man, and can regularly affect the timing of a route. He looks more comfortable in off-coverage than press, where he can struggle to flip his hips when smaller, shiftier receivers break off their routes. He's consistently in position to make the tackle but doesn't always wrap up.

The Buckeyes plucked McLaurin from Indiana after he earned the state's Mr. Football for his play at Indianapolis' Cathedral High School. He did not make any catches as a redshirt freshman in 2015. Coaches started him four times in 13 games in 2016, and he grabbed 11 passes for 114 yards (10.4 average) and scored twice that season. As a junior, McLaurin started all 14 contests and hauled in 29 receptions for 436 yards and six touchdowns. He led the team with 20.0 yards per reception as a senior (35-701), scoring 11 times in 14 starts while also making an impact on special teams units (two tackles).

Overview
Wide receiver with good size, average tape, a strong showing at the Senior Bowl and a special teams pedigree. McLaurin is faster than quick, but he's a detailed route runner who leans on physicality at the top of his route to beat handsy cornerbacks across their face. He will need to improve his ball skills and body positioning if he wants to win contested catches on the NFL level. He has the talent to be an NFL backup and his talent as a gunner could help him see the field quickly on special teams.

Dennis Daley Sth Carolina?

JUCO transfer and two-year starter who faced baptism by fire against some of the best rushers in the 2019 draft. Daley allowed too many sacks and pressures during the year but continued to improve and put together a solid performance against Clemson's bevy of talent. He must break his pass-set habit of deadening feet and lunging at opponents or he'll face a bumpy ride as a pro. He should continue to improve and ascend and has the tools to become a solid starter at one of the tackle spots.

He could slide inside if he struggles at RT

3/16/19: Benzschawel was unimpressive against BYU and Northwestern, but he was generally a good blocker in the ground game for the Badgers. Benzschawel did not impress at the Senior Bowl.

8/28/18: Benzschawel blocked well for the Badgers in 2017 while also dealing with a leg injury that cost him some time. He is a forceful run blocker who was reliable in pass protection. In 2016, Benzschawel turned in an impressive sophomore season, earning Second-Team All-Big Ten honors. He is a tough run blocker at the point of attack with size. Improving his pass protection for the NFL would help his draft stock. As a freshman in 2015, Benzschawel started half the games at right tackle and started a few at right guard.

The Ravens had specific needs coming into this draft. With their first pick, we addressed their need for a #1 WR. A.J. Brown (Day 1 Starter) will take the pressure off their promising core of young receivers. Their other need: Interior offensive linemen.

With the 85th pick in the draft, the Ravens get another starter at either Center or Guard:
