I decided to open a new thread as I couldn't easily find discussion on Rams O-line.

To me apart from injuries to Stafford and Puka, the play/health of Rams Oline is most important to Rams making and going deep in playoffs.

Limmer did not practice yesterday this worries me. A lot.

Yes Jackson is next man up, he has not shown anything yet.

I hope Limmer plays on Thursday. By far my biggest injury worry for the game.

Ouch.

Of note, it's an estimated injury report - the Rams did not actually have practice, so no one practiced Monday.

Could be something, hopefully it's nothing. Probably no info until later Tuesday.

At this point ,IMO having Johna starting at CENTER is the least of The Rams problems.

Your talking about The Rams big FA of 2024.He is a veteran All Pro ??He should be healthy as well ?

This deep in the season I am sure Jackson has settled in with the nuances of center.

Being odd man out has a way of getting more out of people as well.

And he offers more as a run blocker then Limmer.

People judge Jackson based on very limited game action just as they did Avila who now is playing much better.

So yea, I’m not worried if Limmer can’t play a week.

Not so sure. To me the relationship/trust between QB and C is much more important than most realize. Limmer and Stafford seem to have it. Although Jackson has the physical skills, I don't expect him to be able to get the Oline to gel/work/gel together as well as Limmer does. It may take a couple of games.
I hope that I'm wrong if Limmer can't go.

Alaric Jackson is a must sign. He's ascending and playing at a really good level. Letting him go will simply create ANOTHER hole on the roster.

Alaric/Avila/Nimmer/Dotson/?? next season would be nice.

Hell, can Jonah Jackson play RT?

Eh, Stafford trusts Limmer to some degree, but he doesn't trust Limmer fully.

The announcers quoted Stafford in the Bills game as saying that Stafford allows Limmer to make the run-blocking calls but Stafford makes the pass pro calls because Limmer doesn't know the nuances of that yet.

Are you thinking that Rob will retire or you're down on his performance at RT?

I feel Havenstein has a few more years in him.

I think at the very least you take an OT in the 3rd round who can back up RT and maybe LT for a year, and then maybe in 26' he pushes for the RT job.

Agree 100%. With his age, you have to be prepared for him to fall off a cliff. But also, just as with Whit, you let him play if he's still playing at a high level.

I don't think not having Limmer will be the disaster we saw previously.
The current group has played together for a couple of weeks, finally.. and everything AROUND Jackson should be stable and improved over the first time he was thrown back in.

Draft a future starting LT and use Jackson as 1st OT off bench at both sides
I would rather keep AJ and use the draft picks on bigger holes. We have an aging skill position group (Kupp, Higbee), we have Jags at Corner, we have Hav who may not even play next year, and we have contracts ending. Resign AJ who has been above average. We won’t be in the running for the next Pace (which there isn’t one in this draft, IMO)

For the opponents too?!? I think more highly of him, but wouldn’t have minded that strategy with GRob. I mean if we have to handicap ourselves with his effort, so should our opponents.

Did he have an injury designation?
