I believe the window to win another super bowl is wide open. IMO, that #26 pick should go to upgrade a position that is needed to make the Rams a top tier contender. Milroe looks like a good prospect but not sure if a #1 pick is worth it this season when we are already set at QB, plus our backup.
That window is open a few more years with a young QB to take over when Stafford retires.

The QB position is about brains, toughness, reading defenses, anticipation, NFL arm, leadership. Being tall with big hands is a plus.
Being able to run like the wind is far down my list.
Right. Justin Fields comes to mind. He had all of these qualities but not to the NFL level. I still like Jalen Milroe if it's pick 90.

Yeah this guy reminds me of a smaller but even faster Richardson.
I think he is further along than Richardson.

If the Rams pick him I hope it’s not in round 1. But they may feel the pressure of other teams needing a QB will force their hand. I keep hearing that the Steelers want him. I hope they pick him and that means if the Rams take a QB it’s later in the draft.

He played for a better well coached team - I will give him that.

But unless he finds the same god/demon that Josh Allen found to improve his accuracy, then he will be at best a wildcat QB for a few plays here and there like that guy in NO.

When talking about his accuracy, or lack thereof, and comparing him to Allen (56% comp rate) or Richardson (54.7%) keep in mind that Milroe DID complete over 64% for his career. And this was against SEC competition. He wasnt in a dink and dunk system with short throws and tons of YAC. Now he is by no means pro-ready and needs a lot of work. He's made some head scratcher type throws no doubt, but he's also not as "cant hit water if he fell out of a boat" inaccurate like a lot of folks are making him out to be either

I will have to watch more of his games to get an accurate viewpoint on him.

Lots of good points ... you have your moments.

I was curious and looked-up Josh Allen's NFL stats (I only read so much into stats but they are helpful)

Allen's accuracy was an issue when he came-out (we all remember that) but I didn't recall how low his completion percentages were in his first 2 seasons (28 games/27 starts) ... 52.8% as a rookie, followed 58.8%.

These are very-low percentages. In 2018, the League Average was 65%; and Allen's 52.8 was dead-last.
Allen's been in the mid-60s ever since.

Makes me wonder if a coach like Sean McVay sees some mechanical flaws, lack of fundamentals or just inconsistency in mechanics and fundamentals (like foot-work) that he believes can be readily corrected.

Personally I don't want the Rams to select a Quarterback with their only pick in the top-90 but I will hope for the best regardless of what they do.

Josh Allen could not hit the side of the barn his first two season and then he must have made a sacrifice to the accuracy god in the offseason because all of a sudden his passes were pinpoint accurate. I could not believe the difference in his throws. And I watch most Buffalo games since my wife is a Buffalo fan.

Are there any reports or opinions on Milroe as a person and as a competitor out there?

Tice said he had multiple people say he was the best interview at QB at the combine.

Take a shot on the kid... but dear god, not before 90 at the earliest.

I don't know where in the draft they'd take one.. but I'd understand going after Dart or Milroe high if they believe that coaching will bring them to the next level.
At the same time.. their approach to Stafford makes me think, increasingly, that drafting a QB high is very much the direction they're going in. They'll have a bunch of money in 2026 to sign the current guys and build around him.

Snead said we are in purgatory at pick 26.

I expect a trade down and then with that extra pick Milroe could possibly come into the conversation.
