You’re not going to get much of anything in exchange for a 4th-string receiver that hardly plays who is also most likely going to be cut

Only thing that I question is how we could have still used the depth this year , but that’s not a huge problem considering he doesn’t make many plays

Daniele Hunter and his sacks sure would look good. I've been asking for him for 2 seasons won't cost a first.

Obviously first choice burns then young but love hunter on this team

I hope one of these years , we draft a big bodied receiver that can go up after the ball. Been saying it for years. Stafford can put balls in places that a big receiver could go get. Wishful thinking

If something like that came to me in Fantasy I would break the “Reject” button.

Apparently from your keyboard to Les’ phone.

He made an effort to block and has good speed. His route running is lazy at times, has difficulty getting separation, and can improve upon shortening routes against the blitz. It was his 4th season, if Yarber felt he couldn’t be coached up further I’m fine with the trade.

Makes sense. Kept saying it makes sense if they can get a decent offer. The Rams are a class organization and Van seems like a good dude and teammate. It's possible that they are also trying to do a solid by Van by sending him somewhere he'd get more playing time. As I and others have stated, we have ample depth to replace him as i view Van as JAG.
Yeah, all that is good but I would at least think we would get another player in return… not much difference between a sixth round draft pick and a seventh round draft pick. Seems like the Falcons got the better part of this deal.

They did but they also bought low since Van didn't do anything to warrant a higher pick. It's possible we use his roster spot to fill the DT spot since Brown is out or we simply sit on that money just in case another need arises. Either way, Van was just rotting on the sideline.

Snead gets lit up for trading guys who were done with Rams but no one wants to acknowledge the acquisition of a STUD GUARD at a bargain price.
I say if he does well in 2 more games, I'll call him a stud find. For now, I'll say solid, but that was a nice move by Snead.

Seems like McSnead are sort of culling dead weight & eliminating locker room issues / distractions. Not that Van was a bad teammate but he seemed to have a tendency to sulk or hang his head when things didn't go well. I'm reminded of that video clip from 2021 where McVay talks to Van on the sideline after a TD...seems like Jefferson had some insecurity or something.

Jefferson, Akers, Ramsey, Gaines, Floyd, etc....maybe the Rams thought that their "victory lap" after the Super Bowl win lasted a bit too long.

Not a huge fan of this, would rather keep for depth. But if we can stay healthy in wr room rest of year it’s worth it since he wasn’t going to play a lot. Meh.
