LOVE to see him back.
IMO, Brandon Powell single handedly flip the script on special teams. Before him, they were atrocious then they activated him and his first game had the best kickoff return the Rams had had in years and of course the return punt against the Vikings. All of the sudden, the special teams with players like Haley, Rozebloom, Buddy Howell & Jake Gervase made renown special team coordinator Joe DeCamillis look brilliant again along with propelling Assistant Special Team Coach Dwayne Stukes to getting his own gig in Denver.

So yeah, I'm sure glad to have Powell back.

In more ways then one and I'm confident with his ball security, please no more returns for Cooper Kupp please.
This year I don't remembering Coop returning a single punt. (Edit: He did one for 8 yards)

I think they use him more of not muffing inside the 15.

I really thought when they put Powell in for a possible return and put Cooper in for the fair catch was a great combination.

Guessing the Rams keep 7 WRs and 4 TEs since Powell, Skow and Harris all contribute heavily on special teams.

Very happy with this. A huge piece of good special teams play we’ve been missing for years.

I wonder what point of the game this was at? Once all the Rams receiving options were dropping like flies, and Van and Skow started shrinking in the moment, I was contemplating if it might be worth giving Powell a look! You wonder how much, if any, offensive practice reps he gets and if he knows the playbook? If it was feasible to give him a shot, I would have done it.

Yea that's exactly when it was. Not sure if it was 3rd/4th qtr but he definitely wanted to get out there when we were stagnant. When he was in Detroit with Stafford he had a 100yrd receiving game a couple years ago so he's definitely capable. Would've been interesting to see him get out there and run some routes. I wonder how close McVay was to putting him in?
