Corum isn't good enough to compete with Williams. Also he got hurt almost immediately as the Rams started working him in. RBs are in every draft mid to late. It's readily available, so just burn one of those picks on a back they want.

I'd go after the U Miami kid, who is physical. Of course McVay probably doesn't want a physical back. Scattebo same though he'll go a bit earlier, though he seems to have some pass game threat to him as well so maybe McVay would consider him.

Agreed. I'd go WR in FA so that's one of the key pieces I referred to. Rams have not been able to draft anyone outside of McVay's specialty, which is the big, smart, route runner types. He needs help bringing in the X type to round out the attack.

I would not trade up, just sit there and wait for best dude who falls to us. And if it's not a position we need then move down, add a pick, and take a fucking TE or CB, maybe DL.

I want heavy defense, but the TE threat has to be added in the draft too.

Corum is the answer

That's all fine and dandy, but we were killing them with our passing game that drive and the prior drive. It's easy to second-guess the decision there because it didn't pan out. If Staff hit a guy for a TD or catch near the goal-line, we're celebrating a win. Limmer fucked his assignment up. That's how it goes sometimes.
You can call it second guessing. I was screaming at the TV when it happened.

They also probably wouldn't have been expecting a run since Stafford and McVay were in quick passing mode.

The key for me is the time. That play started with 1:14 at the 13 yard line. Plenty of time to score a TD after a 1st down conversion. I think they were panicking a little.

Rams need to work on their running game. Focus on a good RB and beef up the offensive line. I hope Stafford McVay and Kupp stays another season. Defense is fine just work on the offense.

We have Kyren for another year. You would replace him?

I'll agree with the predictable.

But if I give an honest assessment of what cost us the game it wasn't play calling.

It was about 5=7 huge mistakes by the players.
Oh, don't get me wrong. McVay called a fine game overall. I just had a major issue with that one critical call.

Overall, execution was the issue and that was clearly because our guys struggle in the elements.

McVay had a few stinkers for playcalls and a few situational headscratchers, but overall I agree. The fumbles weren't McVay's fault, neither were the perfectly-thrown dropped passes (although weather might have had something to do with that).

The two areas that need to be addressed this offseason are middle of the OL and MLBer. before this game I thought it was CB and TE but my feelings have changed. Also need a RB with good ball security.
