Very nice deal, probably structured a lot like Dotson and J Jackson's deals. Basically pays them market value but protects both player and team.... player can get another big contract if they continue to play at a high level and the team because its only 3 years. Basically sort of a "prove it" deal for a record breaker in 3 years.

I feel GREAT about the offseason now. Pick up a few more free agents to fill in holes and then best player available in the draft.

I am sure Stafford wanted sssurances his LT was coming back before signing his deal. AJ played well. Is still young and deserves the money. Still wouldnt stop me from drafting an OT at 26 though.

That's a great deal. Getting a young, quality LT to forego FA for less than $20m per year is a phenomenal deal.

I’m impressed.
$35m guaranteed is a fair compensation as well.

He felt more comfortable at LT than RT, which is why Iowa kept Wirfs at RT.

Alaric was getting R1 buzz around his junior year but injuries derailed his career somewhat. Us Hawkeye fans knew he was good. I've been hoping they have him and extension at the beginning of the '24 season.
