We had a pretty unstoppable QB sneak when Goff was here too. He would get the snap and basically leap forward and upward over the line with the ball in his long ass arms, and almost always convert.

Thankfully Stafford doesn't have to risk doing that very often with KW here.

We play the Ream Mans version of FOOTBALL!
excuse me marvel GIF

Kyren Williams, if you need 3 yards, he will get you 5 yards. If you need 10 yards, he will get you 5 yards.

Just having some fun, I love Kyren and there are so many other elements of his game. Needs to clean up ball security, but his pass protection plus his ability to catch the football ranks right up there in the NFL. Oh comeon @Elmgrovegnome I corrected it.

KWill is a weapon the Rams need to try to retain. But in a 2 back tandem and paid as such. Keep ‘em fresh and keep ‘em running.
I think many Rams fans underrate his game just because he can’t break long runs.

He’s got the best vision running inside since Faulk. He's got great cuts and timing and he’s not easy to tackle. I would like to see him signed, but I don’t think that’s likely and I think we all will be ruing that decision when the Rams don’t have him.

Williams also has a fantastic center of gravity, very difficult to knock off his feet. He just needs to hold the ball higher and tighter, which hopefully will result in less fumbles, then he is one of the top RB's in the NFL.

In 2019 Derrick Henry had 5 fumbles
2022 Derrick Henry had 6 fumbles

Zeke Elliott had two seasons with 6 fumbles and one with 5

Gurley had a year with 5

Kyren had a year with 3 and a year with 5.

Maybe this whole Kyren Williams fumbles a lot is a bit overblown

It’s the timing of them.
Otherwise, he’s top notch in my book.

It can be to an extent. The real killer isnt the actual fumbles, its the fumbles that are lost. I know that's captain obvious talk but it is a reality. A fumble recovery is typically a combination of a fortunate bounce & an aware team mate(s), not by the RB himself.
Kyren was having a monster game against the Eagles, and huge part of the success they were having. But then after 1 brain fart, the ball gets punched out. Had it bounced the way that a Rams player recovered, the whole narrative changes

Kyrens 3 fumble season he has 260 total touches
his 5 fumble season he had 350

Henry his 5 fumble season had 320
his 6 fumble season he had 372

Gurley had 343 in his 5 fumble season
Zeke had 354, 381 and 292

You're also comparing 2 of Kryen's 3 seasons to 2 of Henry's 9. A little context counts.

Eight fumbles in 654 total touches for one every 81.75 touches and one run over 50 yards
Henry 20 fumbles in 2,529 total touches for one ever 126.45 touches and every year but his rookie year he's broken many long runs most over 70 yards. We all know Gurleys home run ability too.

Nobody is saying Kryen isn't a good back. Nobody says he's terrible because he fumbles. But his fumbles are always at the worst time and he simply doesn't have the ability to change a game with a long run.

Kyren has only played two seasons.
