I must have watched a different game in the 1st half than some of you. Corum looked every bit the part for an NFL running back.
I agree he did very well in this game. It hasnt translated to regular season yet is why everyone(Myself included) is giving him flak.

Bennett looked good, the lad has definitely been hitting the gym. 1 pre-season game doesnt tell a story but if it did I put Schrader ahead of Corum
I like Schrader, but he was also playing against guys that will be cut in two weeks. I do think I would move on from Rivers despite that he is probably a good special teams guy and that's assuming they keep 4 RBs on the active roster.

I just essentially posted that after you, too funny.

Disagree. His pass-protection is much improved (he stood in a free Cowgirl rusher's way during that fourth down conversion to X and bought Bennett time, even though he got plowed), and he looked a lot more explosive and patient than he did last year, as proved by his two goal-line touchdowns. Sure, he wasn't eye-popping like Hunter and Schrader were, but he was steady, and that's what was needed this game.
I just don’t see anything special, either.
I know the sample size is small, but there’s just something missing.
Right now he looks like a back up.

I’d really like to see more of Schrader against some tougher competition. I think he earned it after today.

They kept Shrader on the roster all season last year. They definitely saw something. I think he needed to get better at pass protection but he’s got some juice. I know that it’s preseason and especially in the second half there is mostly 3 rd and 4 th string players but I think Rivers has a better chance of clearing waivers and making the practice squad. Lots of teams with RB injuries including Niners, Texans and Cowboys.

Schrader isn't going to take Corum's job. He's going to replace Ronnie Rivers. Who is decent, but we have already seen his full capabilities already. If Schrader can play special teams, which he can, especially at KR, he's a lock for the roster.

Man I know it’s preseason but the Cowboys look bad. Technical errors, ill discipline, you name it. Joe Milton has no touch - could be a long year of Dak goes down

Just watched the replay. I know nothing, but . . .

I was very impressed with:
Bennett
Xavier (eye opener!)
Dolac

I was also impressed with:
The #2 O-Line
Hunter
Corum
Schrader
Rivers
Mumpford
Stoops

The #2 D-Line
Stewart
Wallace
Varcarcel despite the TD missed tackle)

I was not particularly impressed with the CB depth outside of Wallace.
They looked serviceable and "You can never have too many Corners".

Overall, this looked like the best depth in years.
Would love a promising young stud CB. Trade Corum + '26 pick to some RB desperate team for one?

Some may not like this idea, but if the Rams like Hunter and Shrader enough, maybe
Corum has legit trade value. Trading a RB would be better than losing a good one to cuts. Corum still has name recognition and would be most likely to garner a decent draft pick.

I prefer QBs who are fearless in the decision making. He has that type of swagger to him, even though he looks like an undersized corner. :laugh3:

But that sideline dime on 4th down early in the game took some goddamn balls. Lot of real nice throws for him tonight, makes me look forward to the rest of that preseason sched.

Schrader probably made the team tonight. Also I have to say that this RB Coach is what a real RB Coach looks like. This is how you stack a RB room. We don't have an elite back, but we're loaded with guys who can do the job. Gould is everything McVay believed Brown to be. These boys are all locked in and running with attitude.

OL you can see the great depth we have on the interior in the holes they opened. OT is shaky unless we have Jackson this year, but the interior is deep.

First impression... Rams are a wildly better coached team than the Cowboys. Yikes. Rams just looked professional on both sides of the ball and had their shit together. Milton is.... not good.

One of my favorites is Xavier Smith.. I just believe in needing an explosive KR/PR like him... and.. it sure looks like he's growing as a target. That was a HELL of a catch on the sideline. His speed is helpful in the WR room.

Bennett looked calm and cool.. good for him.

A lot to like.. but, again.. biggest impression is that the Rams just really have it together.
