Which QB do you want?

  • Jared Goff

  • Carson Wentz

  • Don't care. I'm just here to troll the board

I'd be happy with either (and I couldn't evaluate a QB if my life depended on it so I'm
Glad I don't have to ) but from everything I read I want Wentz but would be just as happy with Goff ...

But whatever happens these two guys will be compared their entire careers

I don't know much about them nor do I care which one the Rams pick. From the videos I've watched on Wentz he seems to have the size, the mobility and the arm. In interviews it's apparent he's competitive yet he seems to be humble. I've said for some time, the ideal QB for a Fisher-led team is a Roethlisberger-type. Big, strong, mobile (Big Ben to a lesser degree) and good arm. (He didn't come from a top conference school either. ) Fisher isn't going to air it out. He doesn't want to score in 0:58 unless that's all that left in the game. He wants his defense rested and the opponents defense worn down by the run and long drives. Whoever is going to be 'that type' of QB, I'm in favor of drafting.

voting #3 and I hereby defer to the rest of the board on the pick

Way to straddle the fence @UKram Are you sure you aren't posting from Switzerland?:D

I like them both.

I didn't really think we'd make it to #1, but now that we are here... I probably take Wentz.

Might be a little more risk, but dude is the complete package; size, arm, touch, and by all accounts a hard worker and leader.

Or... I'd take Goff. Who I really like too. (y)

Goff was my vote but I could be persuaded to pick either. Both have their benefits and would help the Rams in their own way. I could also see with our front office them taking the more physically gifted Wentz. Either way I'm excited we are on our way out of QB purgatory.

I voted , I don't care

usually when ever they have a draft were their is like two top QB's I usually always have a favorite , and a clear favorite at that

This year I don't ,

Voted Goff. Better accuracy. Better football IQ. Has faced better competition. Less chance of being a bust.

Wentz would be fine with me too. Ultimately, I think both become very good but not great QBs. I sure hope I'm wrong and we land an elite QB!

Goff by far.

Wentz has bust potential. A no name until the senior bowl process. Had success in an already winning program. Bad completion percentage vs the blitz less accurate passer. Size and arm strength are what teams like.

Goff played vs top competition. Great pocket passer. Quick reads and decision making and great accuracy! Deep ball accuracy incredible. Took horrible program and lead them to a winning program. Never hurt in 3 years. QB IQ is elite.

Wentz and its not close for me

CONCUR FULLY AND COMPLETELY

I think ceiling Goff is a Matt Ryan type QB and Wentz is a Brady. Do with that was you wish.

TOTALLY AGREE HERE, I'M THAT BULLISH ON WENTZ

I'm a Goff guy. But I'll still be happy with Wentz. The Rams saved me from a draft day temper tantrum.

Ya we can rest easy now knowing we are getting a QB. HOPING FOR WENTZ

I've been on the Wentz bandwagon since back when he was considered a 2nd round sleeper, I see no reason to stop now.

Kid has it all, he's Luck from a smaller school and Bortles with a shorter release. Slam dunk pick imo.

We gave up a shit ton, but it'll be worth it in the end. Difference between this trade and the RG3 trade is all about what the respective QBs have between the ears.

I need two more weeks to decide!:hiding::baghead:

I like Goff's characteristics..great quick feet, quick release and accuracy.

I like the size and arm of Wentz.

At this point I'm also happy with either one.

I decided to come out from behind the couch and bag and go with my first instinct.

Goff. He is the better passer.

If we're gonna model our philosophy against what Fisher did in Tenn, or what Seattle is doing now, then it's a no-brainer.
If they're looking for a guy with a higher floor, then it's Goff.

Personally, I hope it's Wentz. I'd like to see them incorporate a little zone-read into the offense.

I'm torn between the two but I voted Wentz for the sake of not admitting to trolling. What I'd love to wake up to in the morning is the Rams and Browns swapped picks and the Rams got a 2nd rounder back. Then we could pick whichever one they don't and get a higher rated WR to boot. :bueller:

Goff, Wentz have same agents

With the Rams now holding the first overall pick in the draft and planning to spend the next two weeks deciding between quarterbacks Jared Goff and Carson Wentz, there’s one thing the Rams won’t have to worry about between now and April 28: Getting bombarded with calls, emails, and texts from Goff’s and Wentz’s agents lobbying for their guy to be the guy.

That’s because Goff and Wentz are represented by the same agents: Ryan Tollner, Bruce Tollner, and Chase Callahan.

Sometimes, a top quarterback will insist on being represented by a firm other than the firm that represents another top quarterback, so that the quarterback’s firm will be able to lobby teams aggressively to take him first. As to Goff and Wentz, neither guy will have to worry about the other guy’s agents making a compelling sales pitch. But neither guy will have the benefit of his own agents making a compelling sales pitch.

It’s a wash at worst (and at best), but it’s the kind of dynamic that could be used by agents in the future to persuade a top quarterback to not choose a firm that another top quarterback already has hired.

I hear you but that scares me a bit. As competitive as he is, would he know when to go down before contact and avoid contact Also, he isn't as fast as other QB that run the ball. QB's that can take off running on pass plays have really hurt the Rams over the years. It would be nice to finally have one hurt the Rams opponents.
