We need some serious "tours" of the PoM given out after that game. Rules are simple, you only get one.

My nominee: Pharaoh Cooper. I made the mistake of saying in chat he should supplant Tavon on returns. So what does he do? Takes that kickoff out of the endzone and fumbles it late to raise blood pressure to unsafe levels.

Enjoy your tour Mr. Cooper.

Pharaoh Cooper's was a bad mistake in the context of the game. But ball security on both sides was poor. Even the last play of the day Gurley loses the ball.

I thought the two lining up in the neutral zone penalties were extremely costly (Countess ? & Quinn?) - especially the first one that cost five yards and got the 49ers Offense back on the field.

:shocking:

Our defense played like @ss, but then so did theirs. They stopped the Hawks mostly last week and when really couldn't stop us, especially when we started doing two minute drill offenses which forced them into playing base defenses....

What makes sense is that fatigue effected both defenses. It doesn't explain everything, but I was relieved when Brockers caught INT in the 2 point play AND for Donald sacking Hoyer on that last 4th down. They need to give these guys a couple of days off, so it's a good thing they have 9 days to prepare for the Cowboys. Believe the Cowboys have a short week next week being the Monday Night Game (?)......

I give it to Quinn for a horribly timed neutral zone infraction, and for generally disappearing again. Is he done? He is on my list. Something is wrong. He looks lazy.
Those neutral zone calls were sketchy.

Their C was pulling the ball back a good half yard before some snaps. The D wasn't getting into stance until after the ball had been moved and the refs were calling them for where the ball was rather than where it was being snapped from.

Tricky, but legal as far as I can tell. Shit job by the refs to let it slide like that though.

Voting Tavon. He isn't even really being used as a WR anymore and if he is going to get butterfingers in the return game...what is his role other than decoy?

Special Teams! Special Teams! Special Teams

Special Teams had three, not one, not two, but three crucial turnovers. And, I'm including the onsides kickoff at the end of the game as a turnover. What a disaster!

Otherwise, this game would have been a Rams blowout.

Dropping Mic Now!

P.S. Hekker not included!

Toss up between Ogletree, Quinn and Coopper.

Cooper's fumble was unbelievably terrible. Mistakes happen though. But it was a bad one.

Quinn had a terrible offsides incident, and didn't do anything of note at all.

Ogletree got pushed around in the run game and burned in the pass game.

I like Quinn and Ogletree, but they were bad ALL GAME (as opposed to Cooper's untimely mistake), and they have me really concerned.

Q or Tree for me.

If the season were ending today, i'd be looking for 4 new starting LB'ers in 2018, trading/cutting Quinn & Barron, and letting Ogletree & Barwin swim in free agency. Not sure i'd be re-signing Donald just yet either, let him play at his option price next year. About the only potential 2018 free agents i'm ready to re-sign are TruJo, Watkins, Joyner, Easley (if healthy) & probably Carrier and Cody Davis.
With close to $80.mil. in available CAP following cuts, the Rams would have another very busy free agency.
I was pissed after the Skins game, never thought the defense would come back and double down on such horrible play as they did today. Dallas is going to tear us apart if we don't get better prepared for that road game.

Wait what?...I just think PC made a rookie ass mistake, and shouldnt have gotten overly excited and try hard on that return. But that is the energy of excitement that is on that sideline. I guarantee it wont happen again.

And first, and foremost most people need to relax and chill...

Quinn is invisible. If you watch the replay , just watch him run straight up the field and out of the play . Look where he was at on the last play of the game . He was on all fours 5 yards past the QB . Play after play he does the same thing

To be fair, Joe Staley has made many a good pass rusher look "lazy".

Coach Fassel needs to stop trying to get cute, tell Cooper to take the touch backs, inform Zuerlein to just kick the ball deep and replace Austin with Kupp for the time being sending a message to Tavon. As to Wade Phillips enough with the anecdotes & folly, start coaching because right now I'm starting to really miss Gregg Williams.

Seems like our rotational D linemen do well--did anyone zero in on how Tyrunn, Fox, etc. did? Tyrunn seems to be a great find, is a force and makes plays, but I wasn't watching him every snap he got.
