jsimcox with an age old question:
Excellent idea Alan. Why did no-one think of doing that before!? :p
It's probably been thought about by almost everyone but doing the work , that's like doing, you know, work.

I can't claim it's 100% correct so if anyone finds any mistakes, post them and I'll correct it.

Thanks Alan! Big help - I missed a couple of guys earlier...

Now, can somebody think of a way to speed this whole thing up? 2 rounds in 2 weeks is a little slow. I know we all have lives, so if you're going to be away for awhile, maybe we could forward (PM) picks to a another GM or two so we can keep this rolling. I'm spending more time than ever here just checking in because we're averaging only 4 picks a day! Let's kick it up and get this over with before the season starts.

Thoughts?

I agree completely. And for the most part, we're pretty quick. It's just those guys who, for whatever reason valid or not, we had to wait 12-16 hours for. We have quite a bit of those. Don't know what the solution is, but there needs to be one.

Agree with this but we did agree for 12 hours a pick I thought? But yes, by all means forward your picks to someone you know you can trust. I did it in the test run mock and Bonifay had me pick for him here because he knew he'd be on the road in round 2. It does work guys.. That's also the reason I'm here checking it out now. Bonifay has the flu and wanted me to help him keep tabs on things. It took me 2 minutes to log in and see where the draft was at. Just saying.

Yup - I forwarded mine to Mojo and Rocket yesterday because I was 6 picks away on Saturday morning and I was leaving for the day.

Silly me - I'm still 4 picks away. I didn't vote for the 12 hour rule because I wanted this to move along, especially in the later rounds...

I know the reasoning for us deciding on a 12 hour window but damn, I didn't think we'd be using it this much. Next time we may want to think about 8 hours anyways. If someone wants to be a part of something like this, they really need to commit to checking in on it often out of respect for others.

LOLOL on forwarding pick. I can relate. When I forwarded mine in trial mock it was because I was going to be out all day (MRI and PT) I get back and I was many picks away..

However, this is a democracy (mob rule) instead of a republic.

I see where you're coming from Husker and can understand. However, last year at my old job with my commute it was a 9 1/2 hour day.. With that job each day you weren't sure if you were going to have to stay over and it could easily turn into a 12 1/2 t0 13 1/2 hour day. If a blaster called in sick on 2nd shift, then it was worse and I was there until 8ish or later in the evening. No cell phones allowed.

If I got off at regular time, it always spring and gardening time. Throw in I may have to go get a load of mule manure and I hit 10 1/2 hours easy. I'm not complaining, but just saying a lot of people have things to do as I'm sure you do too. maybe a 10 hour window would work better? Idk.. I think people could forward their pick as stated above. I also think one thing hampering this is it's a pre FA mock. I'm thinking people may be more excited come after FA. I could be wrong.

@brokeu91 has been on the clock and was tagged 8 hrs ago...yet posted an hour ago in a thread elsewhere. He has yet to make his own pick in this mock. I'd say that he's done.

I tried to organize this thing having the most active members so it wouldn't lag.
I have failed you all...

I understand. I worked 16 hrs yesterday and have to again Wednesday and cell phones are not allowed but this is the 21st century and some rules were made to be bent assbackwards. But I know it's not possible in some cases.

I shall pass the duties of organizing the next mock draft to someone else...because i am tired of chasing down mockers that are unaware, or incapable of being here and/or using their alerts at the top of the page.

Work is not an excuse. I work 40 hrs/week and i don't even have a cell phone with a browser.

Most of us have been awesome, and among those who have been attentive, timely and awesome...
I Salute you...

Mojo - please understand that my complaint had nothing to do with you and your efforts. You failed nobody!

We just need to work out the kinks regarding lag time. I'm just the big baby who has two of the next 10 picks!
