Yup! Looks legit. Kind of a dumb fine but it is what it is

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman has been fined $26,739 by the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit on New Orleans Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis that was not flagged during the NFC Championship Game, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.

The hit happened when Robey-Coleman appeared to run into Lewis before the ball arrived from Saints quarterback Drew Brees on third-and-10 at the Rams' 13-yard line -- a controversial play with 1:45 remaining in a 20-20 game.

A flag for pass interference would have given the Saints a first down, and New Orleans would have had a new set of downs and a chance to run the clock down before attempting a short field goal with less than 20 seconds remaining.

The Rams won 26-23 in overtime to advance to Super Bowl LIII.

No penalty was called, although Saints coach Asshole Face said the NFL's head of officials told him the officials "blew the call" by not penalizing Robey-Coleman.

"It was simple. They blew the call. They said it should never have not been a call," Payton said after the game of the explanation he received. "They said not only was it interference, it was helmet-to-helmet. They just -- they couldn't believe it."

Robey-Coleman admitted he briefly thought the flag would come out but said that an official on the field told him he suspected the ball was tipped, which replays clearly showed was not the case.

Per Adam Schefter...

That equates to 2,673,900 tears shed, by Saints fans, after Greg "The Leg" hit the 57 yard FG to win the game!

And he should say that the NFL fines players every week without a flag being thrown. But it doesn't fit with stirring the pot asshole

Yeah, between him and PFT they have been continuing to pour gas on the fire. I think they both can stick up their a$$. Five days after the game and most of the media continues to bring it up. They say it needs to end, but they continue talking about it. Time for this issue whole issue to...

They do it all the time.
Exactly, happens all the time, you get a letter from the league and your check’s a little lighter.
I heard some guy on the radio saying that was proof that we need replay for pi even though the fine was for helmet to helmet, and while we’re on the subject was it really H to H? He didn’t lead with his head, he didn’t use the crown, I’m not even sure there was contact with the head at all. NRC hit the guy square in the chest with his shoulder as he was turning so there was a point where their heads were close but I’m not sure there was contact. Has there been a flag thrown for helmet to helmet since the playoffs started?
I can’t believe how many journalists are calling for pi to be reviewed, most of them are not this obvious and interference is usually somewhat subjective, the majority of the time there’s grabbing and holding and pushing by both guys. How much do you want to bet it never gets called on the offense, like that leading with the helmet that was going to get called no matter if it was offense or defense but never got called on an offensive player.
I just hope this doesn’t get railroaded through cuz Payton’s feelings are hurt, I think we need less input from the booth or NY or wherever not more.

Saint fans are using this fine as validation that the game was rigged and the flag should have been thrown and the last 1:46 of the game should be replayed and they should win the lawsuit easily unless the judge has been bought off to and why was there a ref in the game who lives in LA and that's proof of a conspiracy......

His intent was not to injure or cheap shot the receiver - nor did he. It was to keep the receiver from making a critical catch. Mission accomplished. Moving forward.
