So the Atlanta Braves with the fewest number of wins gets a day off !!!!! Then the losers of the divisional playoff games play a wild card game. I'm not liking this at all. Didn't it use to be head to head record during the year determine the division winner?

Nope head to head record was the tie breaker to see who hosted the 1 game playoff as far as I recall.

I used to love this time of year! But I am getting sick of watching the Red Sox get swept in the first round. Unfortunately I see the same results this year too.

I'm still pissed at the Cards. If they don't sign Harper, I'm done for next season because it'll be more of the same.

aye... I think if Oakland beats NYY, then the Sox are gone...if the Yankees win the WC game, then it'll be a good ALDS

Weirdly I think the Sox have a better chance of beating the Yankees than the A's, but the Yankees are more talented. Feel like the Yankees have a way of beating themselves even though they are more talented then the A's. Regardless the Red Sox are toast, they have no pitching.....correction, no good pitching.

At least you can be sad about it while wearing new Super Bowl gear,,,

If it was Puig celebrating like Contreras was with that walk in the 9th people would be losing their shit about him being disrespectful and bad for baseball. Instead BSPN was talking him up because of it.

I swear I heard somewhere that playoff Kershaw sucked. Must be from the same people that said Goff was a bust.

Definitely got over his postseason yips last year.
I wonder if Roberts putting him number two in the rotation helped him psychologically somehow. 4.2 era lifetime in the post season isn’t great. At any rate a two hitter is just fabulous and I’m happy to see him do well.

I’m fairness he ERA is almost double in the postseason. Maybe he is training better this year and has more stamina this year. In the past he as always looked tired during the post season. Just a non Dodger fan point of view.

Now I hope Price can do a Kershaw against the Yankees!

In the past the Dodgers had nobody to start but him and they started him the whole post season on short rest. Almost every starter in the post season after a long regular season looks tired. Context is everything but it's a lazy narrative to say he's just not good in the post season.

Good points! And your right context is everything

Kershaw was also hurt for almost half the season this year so he is definitely not as used up as in past years. In addition, he really wasn't himself this year and only pitched 6 - 7 innings per game this year. Plus I think it got in his "craw" that he was the Game 2 starter and wanted to show everyone that he is still the GUY.
